My original post asked how to hide traders. I went into the game and discovered that my bazaar window was too small and that the last button (hide traders) was to the far right if you make the window full size.

it gives bards a bad name since you're irritating so many people by doing this.

Just have a stein in each hand and no one will cast a rod on you - just that easy.

I happened to check the EQ petition knowledge base today and it states this regarding bard song in the bazaar:

Article soe10250

"The bazaar and certain areas of PoK are very high traffic areas and are already prone to latency due to a large number of players present. While practicing your bard area of affect songs will not actually injure your fellow players it does add additional latency and can even cause some players to lose their connection. This is zone disruption and is a violation of the Code of Conduct."

Interesting, Samatman.

As for:

Huh? Smiley: confused
If you have your hands filled or empty, the rod still appears on your cursor. My dual wielding characters are mod-rodded all the time. I just throw it in a bag and let it rot when I log.

Unless you meant there's never a mod rod around when you need one as a caster Smiley: grin

Certain areas of PoK? Which ones?

I dunno - I simply quoted what the petition knowledge base article said when I typed in "bard song" for matches. I would assume that any area of PoK that is congested, such as the large bank, would fall under this rule.

Many bards in PoK often play the AoE regen songs and most people are more than happy to take advantage of these effects. These songs also don't give the annoying "A_Retarded_Bard01 tries to cast a spell on YOU but you are protected!!" messages although they do have minor AoE display effects.

I suppose, if you are looking at the letter of the code of conduct, they would be prohibited, but who would ever petition a beneficial bard song?
