If a jewler combines enchanted metal and Imbued stones are the resulting jewlery pieces even better?? What is the point of the Embue line of spells if not for makeing enchanted items? Thankyou for any information you can provide!!

Yeah, it usually just makes upgraded combines of jewelry, but I may be wrong, I've really never done jewelcrafting to a significant extent. Check out http://www.eqtrader.com

I am pretty certain that you can combine imbue gems and enchanted metal for JC item. It does give you items with better stats. However, the primary reason why you imbue a stone is mostly for other tradeskills.

Most of the cultural smithed armor use imbued stones for one version. So does some cultural weapons. Some of the pottery combines require imbued gems. So does making two items that is required for multiple tradeskills, imbued emerald and imbued plains pebbles. You use those two items to make blessed dust of tunare and blessed dust of karana. Blessed dust of tunare is used in sickles and robes for the PotC quest. blessed dust of karana is used for blessed fishing rod and lucky cabbage for the same quest.

Imbued gems are only used to a very small percentage on JC, mostly they are used for cultural smiting. Only cultural armor pieces with imbued gems do add to stats, the downside is that imbued gems make the armor to be used by followers of the appropriate deity only.

Every deity has a certain gem he favours so every race is able to use imbued gems for all the deities that race may choose to follow - even if the character follows another deity. But an imbue itself can only be done by a cleric for the gem of the deity he follows.
