There is a rare drop off the Luggald Broodmother that I would like to have.

I have read a lot about running her to the zoneline and kiting her. I want to do the encounter with a group so need some pointers on that.

Boge....if you read this can or have you solo's the Broodmother? If so want to take me along and us kill her?

We need to get you out more and see some zones you haven't seen. Come with us to HF sometime!!! In fact I am hoping to do a few names in Naddox this weekend and clear out Hates Fury there as well.

Hi Jose!
A high level Bard can pull Broodmother out and kite her around on the other side of the bridge.
We would need a group or two to deal with her the old fashion way. :)

I like the idea tho, I have a meeting just now, I only saw your post now, I'll be back in a little bit with the strats I have used before.

PS She is an easy kill if you are ready ....

Think one group could do her?

I can easily get a group with the guild but need a bit of expertise which is where you come in!!!!

I'm back!
So you want to kill the Broodmother do ya. Okay. First you you need to make sure the luggald ambassador is up, he is the spawn trigger. After killing him, she spawns and runs around in the incubator room, after a couple of minutes, she stops running around and becomes targetable. She has four clerics and four tanks who are her defenders. The trick is to pull her to the zoneline as she is a lot faster than the defenders.
Problem one: The one way, trap door. You can no longer open it from the bottom. So someone needs to stay invis and when told to, they succor to temple steps, invis, and run in to open trap door. Opening trap doesn't break invis.
If you can pull her past the trap door, then its all cake from there, otherwise a little tag is needed. One person pulls her to area you have cleared near camp fire, otherside of bridge. Then succors. She will be a fair distance ahead of the defenders by then. Next person tags up and kites her around camp fire. First person is back down by then and either a) kites away any defenders who do make it up, or b) starts in on the dotage.
A Necro and a Druid are the perfect pair to do this, If you can produce a couple of more peeps to keep re-spawns and adds busy, even better. Between our dots, she should only take five minutes to die.
She isn't the fight, its the adds.

I will go and try a few pulling games with her tonight, if luggald ambassador is up, and see if i need to snare her friends to keep them from catching up to fast.

I will either see you there, or get ya in tells.....

Woot!

Well I definitely can have a cleric and beastlord tonight. We had plans to go to Hates Fury anyways. Your welcome to join us by the way.

I also can muster up a few more from the guild if need be. If you read some earlier posts another RZ diehard offered to come do some tanking. I am sure he and the BL along with the Cleric can handle the adds. While you and I kill her.

I know the deal with the trap door and that to is very doable. I know that part of the zone like the back of my hand. Just one question....by the time you drag her from one side of the bridge to the next and all through the temple wouldn't there be one heck of a train? I would think the stun from one of the trolls alone could possibly kill who does the original pull.

Give me a shout when you get on tonight!

I have noticed that she is a lot faster than the other mobs and you can out run their casting and agro range, it just takes time. I usually pull my boar all the way down to the undead weaponsmith by dropping a snare on the pig, hitting my AA camo, then running like hell....It takes a minute or two but sure enough, pig shows up...no train. It's all a question of being outside of the other mobs agro range when the pig enters theirs...
I have a plan that uses AE snare, my Chardok staff (Succor stick) and a few heavy dots to keep her mind on me. As long as she stays un-snared and the bulk of her defenders are snared, things should work out.

Plan B:
Pull the luggald ambassador with a BIG dot, run like hell towards camp fire, stop and snare just him ( or clicky root) then succor. Rest path back and I run back down to tag up with him. Kill. POP BM, repeat with her.

It's been a long time since I died in Nadox, I don't plan on doing so again soon :)

PS: If the Hammer drops I would like a chance to give it to my Bst....all who want it roll?

I want the earring rare and most likely won't drop but to do her would be fun.

As for any that group all get to roll so if you roll on behalf of your BL that is fine. I will set the loot rules when we start will that work?

Sure thing. Other than rolling on the Hammer, I'll pass on the other stuff....or I can roll and pass it to you :)

I've dropped her a few times duo as well as grouped.

I know a 65 Druid on Tarew Marr that solos her often and a Ranger that's taken her down solo many times.

If you can tag her, snare her and outrun her minions to the zone line, they go back and she's exposed. Zone back in and kite her. It does involve training to the shrine steps but if you wait til the zone's quiet or announce it well in advance you should be fine.

I've not yet risked soloing her, but plan to soon.

Ok that was fun Boge...she didn't go down but it was pretty cool having her glaring over my FD body.

I think the Torg zoneline should be our next attempt!!!!!

Anyone know how often her PH spawns so we can respawn her?
#13 Jul 23 2004 at 10:24 AM Rating: Default
Well, it proved she is single pullable by a non-fd class. I got beat down by not following my own plan. I was trying to dot her instead of running for the zone.....She is faster :)
I will try again for the ambass. tonight and try to work this into a smooth strat.

And sorry about my nasty post on the PvP thread, but Morden is clearly an up-tight....ANYHOW, Sorry.

PS but if you find out her RZ character name let me know, I want to show her some rather technical PvP and corpse camp her until she gets a reason to visit Shadowhaven. Grrrrr.

I didn't realize you had not snared her. My dot drew instant agro and well wiped my buddies!

Hmmm...well I could try to pull her and FD but with so many mobs it would be tough to get the FD before I died. Just with her few buddies and her banging on me I got the FD off once everyone stood and died at 20%. However I am not beyond trying not like we can't drag and rez.

I think the Torg. line would be the most successful if the trap door opens timely. But nothing like finding more than one method!

That seems to be the method of choice for most solo or duo attempts on her.
Having a friend invis'd by the trapdoor lever ready to open it in time is a big help

The Torgiran zone line has enough room to kite or Root/DoT her ok. Just remember it's also the succor point Smiley: wink
