Can Someone please Tell Me where are all the New Hot Spots are at. I will Get LDon and GoD Next week when the New box set comes out. Btw i Play on Stormm.

Do you think I will be hard for me to Find a group on Stormm or should i go to the New server they have up now?

Thanks in advance for your help

I don't know anything about Stromm, but in general at your level I would say Field of Bone and Kurn's Tower are very popular. A lot of people seem to be fast-tracking the hot xp zones these days and forsaking a lot of the old-world content, which is really too bad. Since your BL is only level 12, you may want to re-roll a character on Morden Rasp. There are a lot of new players there, as well as a lot of veterans seeking solace from their main servers. Both groups are making decent use of the older zones.

A lot of people have moved into the "hot experience" zones after the April 28 patch:

Hot Spots
-----------------------
Try out the new Hot Spot zones which give a boost to Experience while adventuring in them, in a similar manner to Paludal Caverns. The current Hot Spots are:

- The Castle of Mistmoore (20th to 30th level)
- The Lair of the Splitpaw (35th to 45th level)
- Dulak's Harbor (40th to 45th level)
- The Tower of Frozen Shadow (30th to 35th level)
- The Gulf of Gunthak (35th to 40th level)
- Hate's Fury (55th to 60th level)
- The Crypt of Nadox (50th to 55th level)
- The Torgiran Mines (45th to 50th level)

When you break 20, you should be able to find groups pretty easily here. You can solo pretty effectively as a BL, so you may want to do that or check out Kurn's until that time.

Hi Candda,

I dont remember gong to Oasis at your level, was still in CB or North Ro and didnt head to Oasis until 18 or so. Last time I was in Oasis, there were a fair number of people around dock hunting crocs, but Orc Highway groups seem to have dried up around the time LDON came up.

I had a 22 war in Mistmore the other day, and there were some low teen levels near the entrance. I play on Drynal server, but I would think Morden Rasp would be a better bet for low level groups.

The Paludal Caverns zone from the Luclin expansion killed those zones for xp groups a while back. Quick and easy jump from 5ish to 25 is an understatment.

Seeing that your beastlord is level 12, I would suggest starting over. New characters now get to go through a tutorial where they end up with a slightly better weapon, 2 backpacks and a very nice charm. It would also give you a feel for the game again without having to worry about corpse runs. You'll meet other people in the tutorial as well.

Good luck and welcome back!

Yes definately restart, its not that hard anymore to get to level 12 even naked. The tutorial is great though because you get a fancy smancy charm with nice stats and some ok armor if you dont have anything to equip yourself with. Pluuuus you can also raise your baking to 15 for free. The weapon isnt too bad either that you get from the iron.

as for hotspots you ussually wont find heavy grouping outside of eastcommons/gfay/feild of bone/blackburrow on your way up but you could always solo if need be =P.

Candda,

I'm on Stromm and all of what you've read from the previous posters holds true. Crushbone, Blackburrow, and the Warrens are all fairly easy to get or start a group on Stromm. PC on Stromm routinely has 40-60 players and most groups looking for a healer or tank. When I was there, I didn't group, but solo'd--hardly anyone makes use of the Shik'nar tunnels and those bugs are terrific for raising skill values. You'll likely need to wait a few levels before trying them however.

Haven't been to Mistmoore & only went to HHK to turn in all the orc scalps from my time in CB so Ic an't speak to them. LDoNs on Stromm seem to be of interest to mid and high level players. I can't remember the last time I saw anyone /ooc for anything below lvl 35ish.

You can also check out www.eqstromm.net. Mae's set up a pretty good board and the Beastlord forum has some good folks on it. Also, check www.beastlords.org-though that's more BST oriented than server, there are some good tips there as well.

Send me a tell if you like.

Good Hunting Candda

I never have any troubles getting groups on Stromm. Of course, it should be known that the Oasis is basically dead these days. There are some veterans that still like having the entire croc beach to themselves but for the most part it's far more dangerous and less experience than the Paludal Caverns.

If you're really worried about lower level groups Morden Rasp will almost definitely have more. All of the players using the Trilogy Free Trial are on Morden, and its spot at the top of the server list probably draws in a lot of the newer EQ players. I wouldn't suggest going to a server just for lower level groups though. You aren't going to be 12 forever.
