Shaman Epic QuestionFollow

Ok, I'm a level 36 Iksar Shaman who had previously completed parts of my epic spear up until waiting in OOT for the spirits (shark ate me). I need to restart the epic. Due to some faction-raising 65's last night in Mistmoore, I now have Black Dire's pelt. I did not get any True Spirit faction when he died.

My question: If I restart my epic quest and bypass the Black Dire part when I get there, will I have enough True SPirit faction to hand in the fur for the Black Dire Boots?

You really should just get back to the test of patience.. that will take you all of 15 mins..

When in the test of patience and waiting for the spirits make shure to keep your invis to animals up AT ALL TIMES... you dont technically have to speak with any of the spirits save abram or whoever gives you the broken arrow and the wolf spirit at the end .. just make shure to keep the invis to animals up and the sharks will ignore you .. i did that part of my epic at 24...

Once done there if i was you i'd just go straight to RM and get the envy/woe/shield .. then hit the karana's and find the wandering spirit .. do that turn in and you will be set.. next step would be bblack dire and since you already have the pelt once you do the karana's turn in just hit EJ for the sweet insta clicky sow boots..

but be warned that if you dont have sufficient faction (IE if you try to take shortcuts) you will not get your boots .. just do the quest in the order it is intended and you will have nothing to worry about..

You can do the Rathe Mountains section multiple times to build up faction. Get Woe and Envy and hand in to Wandering Spirit.

It is worth doing this because losing a stage further on due to low faction is not worth it.

[Edit:btw I hope you weren't waiting in OOT for the spirits - would have been a long wait Smiley: smile]

I would advise against this ... some may dissagree but it really is cheating ... if you do the epic in the steps that it is suposed to be done then you will have no faction problems at all ..

And besides it being cheating it cheapens the storyline(and IMO the shaman epic has a nice storyline to go with it even though it is one of the easiest of all epics to complete)..

But it is your choice.. Granted EQ is only a game but cheating is cheating ... you are the one who has to decide if you are an honest player or not ..

I hope you make the right choice ..

and BTW .. good luck on your epic ..its a nice poker..
