Explain Ldon points please :)Follow

#1 Jul 18 2004 at 2:47 AM Rating: Sub-Default
Hi there. I have been doing Ldon adventures for some time now, but can't seem to get a grasp on how the points work at the different camps. I understand you must acheive a certain amount of points at a certain camp for items to be available to you at the adventure merchant there. My question is this. Do you have to spend points earned from a certain camp to purchase these items? Or can I earn the points to make the item available at the merchant, then buy the item later with points earned at a different camp? For example: Cleric Spell-Blessing of Temperence is 150 points at the North Ro camp.If I get 150 points at North Ro making the spell available, then go to Butcherblock and spend the points, then earn 150 points at Butcherblock, can I spend those points and buy the Blessing of Temperance spell in North Ro? Also, after spending the 150 points I earned in North Ro, do I have to get 150 more N Ro points before new stuff becomes available at the merchant? Or does it remember that I have earned 150 points already? I am wondering if I can unlock an item worth 150 points, purchase it, then earn 150 points at a different camp to build them back up and return to the original camp to continue earning points and unlocking new items beyond the 150 point mark without having to re-earn the 150 points at the original camp, leaving me stuck at one camp all the time. Well I hope I explained my confusion clearly. Any help would be so appreciated.

Paragraphs are your friend use them to make your post readable.

Answer: you can spend points you have earned at any camp but you can only buy items that you have unlocked with points earned at that camp.

Example:

Nro: 500 points earned
BB : 200 points earned
Sro: 0 points earned
Ef : 800 points earned
Ec : 500 points earned

total points earned: 2000

these points can be used to purchase 4x 500 point items in Nro or EC 2x 800 point items in EF or 10x 200 point items in BB, but you cannot spend them in Sro.

The maximum points to unlock a LDoN is approx 1450 after than you may aswell earn your points elsewhere because you can just come back and buy what you need when you have the points from the other themes.

In future please break up you post as it was EXTREMELY hard to read.

This is a message board, not 1st grade English class. I won't mention all of the typos and misspellings in your response either, making it EXTREMELY hard to read also. Sheesh, what a dork.

Now, that's gratitude for you.

If you don't want answers and advice, don't post.

Tarv, since this person likely never will, *I* will apologize to you.

I'm sorry that you took the time to formulate an answer to help out a fellow player and were, in return, treated poorly by that player for suggesting that he make his posts easier to read. Please continue to be a generous poster and help out people who ask. Your posts are regularly informative.

Hmmmmm, I would swear Tarv gave you the answer, but...

No, you do not have to earn those 150 points again. It keeps track of your total points earned in each camp, forever.

To "unlock" everything in EACH camp you must have earned a total of 1450 points in THAT camp. Spent or unspent, doesn't matter. Once you unlock something it stays unlocked.

Now, so you can jump on me too, Tarv is a long time poster, which you can tell because of the number of posts, 1592. Now you with six posts would do better by not calling Tarv an idiot. Tarv did not call you names, by the way, and neither did I. But I am willing to be on the same "illiterate dork list", along with Tarv, as the company is congenial.
#9REDACTED, Posted: Jul 18 2004 at 9:04 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Finally an answer, but if you think Tarv answered my question, then yes you too have earned a comfy spot on my dork list. :)
#10REDACTED, Posted: Jul 18 2004 at 9:24 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This is good advice and I hope you all listen to SamatmansLeftHand. You may be able to read message boards if you do. Everyone pat him on the back for a job well done getting past first grade! Gratz! But, I think we all know what Samatman does with his left hand and it certainly isn't flipping through the pages of a book. HEHE! Your sad attempt to analyze my anger is quite amusing. The fact that I stick up for myself is a sign of strength. The weak (yourself for example) are the ones who can't read a paragraph without whining about how long it is. Well since this is getting a little long for you, I'll stop here. Good luck when you get to 2nd grade genius.

#14REDACTED, Posted: Jul 19 2004 at 4:08 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Could you break that up into small paragraphs so I can read it please? Wow. Now we got illiterate dorks and typing pigs. I've brought out all kinds this evening. I'll keep this one short so you'll be able to read it. Let me spell-check, so I make sure there are no misspelled words for you silly EQ forum-campers to desperately grasp onto (was easily edited by the way so *snort* all you want). I am wondering if this sound you make is indicative of your weight. BAH!

Now I am quite certain I passed any number of English classes, and must say that I only found 1 typographical error, 1 punctuation error, and no spelling errors in Tarv's post.

Perhaps you could take a moment to educate us as to what was done wrong, so we might better ourselves.

You might also take a moment to notice that no one has responded to your second question. Aside from the arrogance, after previous posts, to think that this group would continue to offer their help as you struggle with understanding the basics of a computer game. I find it almost as amazing to think that you would even want us to answer.

Perhaps you would do better if you went and found another message board, which is less populated by 'dorks'.

I didn't bother reading the first post, because it was too hard to read. Simply putting in some paragraph spacing would make it much easier. I read his reply though, all it did was confirm that skipping his first post was a good call on my part :)

I wonder if this jackass has ever wondered why teachers, since he has obviously spent so much time in school writing papers, demand papers to be double spaced. It isn't because they paragraphs are too long, it's because single spacing is difficult to read. Before you make the comment about books that is on the tip of your tongue, they usually have a greater space between the lines than you see on a message board.

Hehe. Yeah you did get me there, but it is sad that's all you got.
Hey. Check this out. Say I unlock 500 points worth of items in N Ro, spend the points at another camp, then return to N Ro and earn 100 points. Will I have then unlocked the 600 point items?
Seriously. I won't be rude any more.

Here is a quick grammer lesson for you Noll. Hehe is not a sentence. Neither should "Hey. Check this out." be seperated into two sentences. Rather, it should read, "Hey, check this out." Also, "Yeah you did get me there..." should read, "Yeah, you did get me there..." Comma's are your friend.

Now, **** off

#20REDACTED, Posted: Jul 19 2004 at 5:12 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) HAHAHAHA!!! Look at your second sentence Mr Grammar-It isn't because they paragraphs are too long, it's because single spacing is difficult to read. LOL!! Oh yes. You are the authority on correct english. You still want to give me a lesson? HEHE.
#21REDACTED, Posted: Jul 19 2004 at 5:34 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) OK. After putting up with all the know-it-alls, dorks and grammar experts, I have come to find out that you seasoned EQ forum-campers ARE WRONG ABOUT UNLOCKING LDON ITEMS!!!
#22REDACTED, Posted: Jul 19 2004 at 5:37 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Sheesh. Another one that needs to go back to 1st grade. You guys are really something. LEARN TO READ!

Noll, you are obviously not happy here. You place no value in the solutions that several regular posters to this board have offered to share with you, so why do you keep coming back?

My suggestion would be to return to the board you found where your views and values are respected.

Best of luck to you and safe travels. Now, go away!
#24REDACTED, Posted: Jul 19 2004 at 6:56 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Umm. I have a right to express my opinions just like anyone else. I love Allas, I just don't like the stupid few I unfortunately had to stomach in this post. I have surfed this site for years now and never had people tell me "paragraphs are my friend". If you people don't like the way I type my messages, then don't read them. If you don't like my attitude, then don't read them. If you can't offer any more info than the obvious plus some extra complaints, then don't respond. If you are not sure if your information is accurate, then do not respond. Now YOU go away. I started this post. And although I have left relevant info, I am still badgered. Sheesh. BTW. Your blue dragon icon looks retarded. LOL! I think I'll leave you sillies to discuss amongst yourselves.

Actually you do not. Neither do I nor does anyone here.
This is not a public arena this is a privately owned forum made available to the public at the discretion of the owner.
You have no right to speak or express yourself nor even a right to post unless granted by the owner and governed by the rules He or She has set down.

With only 15 posts? Either you are a liar or you are an alternate persona of another poster who wants to be a prick without losing 'prestige' in the eyes of your peers.
Either way you are just a sad, pathetic individual screaming for attention, of which you have had too much of already.
You have my pity.
