Hey I played EQ over a year ago and I was thinking of starting up again, but I'm not sure if I would want to if all my old chars were wiped. Anyone know if Sony wipes inactive characters and how long they wait until they do?

They should be still there, alot of people have found charicters with full gear spinning after 2-3 years of inactivity.

Yeah after a certain amount of time it starts taking care of your characters and its up to luck if your character is there, naked, or deleted.
