I 2 box and have been playing since before POP came out, and I had the strangest problem loging in yesterday (Sunday AM).

I play on two computers and was logging both on about 8 AM EST Sunday. The older computer (2002 Dell) takes longer, so I booted that one first and then the newer one right after - the newer one still usually gets to login screen quicker.

Much to my surprise, the older computer got to the login screen quicker and I had no problem quick connecting to Drinal server. Meanwhile, my newer computer never got past the login section - first I got an error that I had timed out, next I got an error message about unable to connect to server and to check the status of EQ (which obviously wasnt the problem since I was connected on the other server and walking around Felwithe).

So I backed all the way out and redid the patcher, only to come back to the same login problem, saying that it could not connect to the server. BTW I have roadrunner and use a hub with the cable modem and checked to make sure I was able to connect to other internet sites np.

Anyway, after 6 trys over a 10 minute period, I finally gave up and played on the one account. At 9 AM, I tried again and was able to connect np with the new computer account.

Great, grabbed pally & clc and was off to hunt HGs in Rathe, about 1 hour later both accounts went LD at the same time (hazzards of cable modem). This time, the newer computer account only bounced out to the character screen while the older account bounced all the way out to login screen.

Even stranger, I was able to log back the pally right away, but the clc kept getting the "the you have an active player" error message - which I knew since I was looking at her with the pally. Took about 3 minutes more until she disappeared and I was able to log her back on.

Come on SOE, 2 computers on a cable modem and 2 different problems on the same day. Anyone else see this?

Do you have a Linkdead, err Linksys router? If so, you may need to update the firmware.

I will have to check on the make of the router when I get home, strange thing is that it worked fine up until Sunday morning and worked fine thereafter - I did 3 back to back LDONs in the afternoon when I got back from church.
