Hi I play FFX1 and I am wondering what do you do in everquest what are the game style highlights and what is the point of it.
Everquest is based on a sword ans scourcery style system.
There are 15 classes and 16 races, level range from 1-65 with classes changing and deveolping from generic at low level to spacific niches at mid to high level and then gaining flexibilty as you reach high level so that you can fulfill the required roles within the game.
The game is based around groups of 4-6 people for the most part with player acting as a cohesive group to kill monsters such as Orc and Goblins.
It is possible for some classes to solo and some classes tend to go the entire game this way.
you have 8 slots availible for charicters per server at no extra cost unlike FFXI from what i hear.
There are 2500+ quests, 25000+ Items, 5000+ tradeskill recipies, 200+ zones and about 2000 people on each server at peak times.
The game is huge, it can take years to get to the point where yuo are reaching the start of the high end of the game and after 3 years i still love playing.

Wow, after Tarv's rousing account of EQ, I can't in good faith tell the person to skip EQ and pick up CoH so instead....
1. Buy EQ.
2. Make a toon on the Morden Rasp server.
3. Join Aude Sapere.

This is one of the things that makes it better than FFXI IMHO. There allot of different paths you can persue. Race to 65, Roleplay, PVP, Tradeskilling, Raiding, Exploring, Questing. It's quite a bit deeper than FFXI, with several times the zones and Mobs
