Povar marriageFollow

My lady friend and I are looking for someone to marry us on the Povar server. We tryed ingame to find someone but the person, Tuke said some things to my lady friend she deemed inappropriate. The only things you need are knowing the words that a priest says in real life, and you are preferably a cleric or paladin. Thank you, if you are willing to do it send a /tell to me, Kunnon on the Povar server. THX

You know you need a GM if you want to have the same lastname right?

That used to be the case Crow, but now players can use the /surname command to change their own surname without a GM, providing that:
- the surname doesn't infringe naming rules
- the player hasn't changed his/her surname in the last 7 days

LOL @ Samatman Smiley: grin

Reminds me of two great quotes:

Robin Williams:
"Ah - Divorce - from the Latin "Divorcare" - meaning to rip out a man's ********* through his wallet"

and

Steven Segal walked from the courtroom after his divorce hearing, with his girlfriend by his side. A journalist looked at the girlfriend and said
"So Mr Segal. Will you be remarrying now?"
"No" says Segal "I'm just gonna find a woman I can't stand the sight of, and buy her a house"

Nobby, I am aware of being able to change your own name, but I do not think you can choose the same one as someone else still without a GM.

Yes, you can have the same surname as another person on the server.

It's just the character's given name that has to be original.

This obviously isnt helping. I asked for someone to marry us, please reread the original post.

We may be having a Tribiani moment here Smiley: wink

The upshot is that while in earlier days you needed someone special to conduct a marriage, anyone can do it now.

If you feel the need for it to be a cleric, then do a /who cle all.
Otherwise ask a friend.

Quoting Churchill

If you have one

Why don't you just try living together for awhile first?

Seriously, may I suggest you look for a monk. I would have thought monk over a cleric myself, being that that are supposed to be ones of pure thought.

Not quite. If you read the description at character creation, Monks dedicate themselves to essentially become a perfect weapon.

Dude, your name is DemonicMage and your looking for a paladin or cleric to marry you??

Beside that - its just a game, you shouldn't start mixing the real world religion words for marriage (besides you didn't specify what denomination) and a game. How bout you and your bride to be go to a priest of discord and turn in your PK books together. Then hack eachother to bits for the honeymoon?
