A month or so ago I went to EQToolbox and downloaded all maps they had for EQ. I did this because last time I downloaded maps, I did not get the LDoN maps for some reason. Now that I'm high enough level for LDoN adventures, I wanted the maps. I deleted everything in my maps subfolder before starting this process.
When I went into EQ after that, about half of the zones had double entries for everything on the map. It made every such map very cluttered and it was extremely annoying. After a couple of weeks of being annoyed, I finally figured out that nearly identical maps were entered in both the "Base Layer" and "Layer 1" of the maps that were doubled up. So it is a simple matter to clear up the clutter by making only Layer 1 visible and then clearing that layer with the in-game map tools.
I went into Estate of Unrest to farm zombie skins the other day and found 90% of the map gone. Only the building is in the map now and nothing else. The hedgemaze is gone, the entry tunnel, everything. Why must maps be so annoying all the time?
So, I went back to EQToolbox, selected the Unrest map, viewed in on their site (observing all the missing content), downloaded it in EQ format and put it in the maps folder. No change. Zone out and zone back into Unrest. No change. Log out and play one day later. Zone into Unrest. No change. WTF? Can anyone help with some advice?
