Using the Tribute system?Follow

Hi, anyone using the Tribute system? If so, which benefits do you find worth the cost? What items are you turning in to get your tribute points? Is tribute worth it at lower levels? Do people use it to twink?

Yes.

Aura of clarity. Replenishing body. Missing focus effects. Enduring Breath. Haste. Effectively having C1 and Regen 10 that cannot be dispelled, isn't lost when you die and stacks with everything (up to the FT cap anyway) rocks.

Architect scepters and BP's mainly. Scepters when I see them for 900-1000, trade for 3.9k tribute. The BP's when I see them for <7k, trade in for 24k tribute. I check everything and if I would get at least 4-5 points for it's plat value to an NPC or the bazaar I trade it in.

Some are. Regen 4/FT2 on a level 30 necro is always nice.

I guess you could, but since tribute can't be used before 20 it wouldn't be much of twinking. The tribute haste is nice for twinkie melee I guess, and FT/Regen never hurts.

I use it... some tradeskill creations net you more tribute points than what the item can sell for in the bazaar/how much it costs (such as the LDON armor), so ever so often if I have something I made I can't quite sell, I'll plop it in the tribute.

I usually get the WIS buff before working on trades to increase my chances of skill ups, and I will get the FT and Regen before I do an Raid/LDON/Solo so I have that little bit extra of a boost.

I've heard the bard tributes were really good (something along the lines of getting the effect of an instrument without actually having it) not as sure about that as I don't play a bard.

bard tributes are yummy. one level of wind = no more instrument swapping for invis. FT trib for bards rocks too.

Another question: the vengence tribute buffs: they are just like a worn effect, such as mana preservation or extended enhancement? Thus they don't stack? As opposed to the regen or mana regen tribute buffs, which do stack with equipment.

I am thinking of donating LDoN smithed armor. I was hoping they had an endurance regen buff, but they don't so as a rogue, I was thinking of hp regen or haste or something which buffs my attack (vengence).

Hi,

Could anyone please post a link to an article/discussion giving an overview of the Tribute system. I'm unclear as to what it is, what it does, how to use it, who to tribute to, etc.. I guess I'm looking for a "newbie's guide to the tribute system".

Thanks
