Last night I went to POM with a cleric friend. Did a bit of kiting at the zone in until the guild gathered for a semi-group. We headed into the Castle with maps in hand and ready for an adventure. Pretty cool place but I have some questions.

I have read POM was revamped so not as fun as it once was. Well lucky me I have no measuring stick so the fun is there. Unfortunately www.planeofmischief.com is rather dated to say the least and the maps on the interent are a bit confusing.

Ok to my questions...

Anyone know if the quests still work that end up in gear items? *Nice gear items to I might add*

Anyone know a map that is less confusing with a bit of guidance to it?

Anyone familiar with the zone that can give some pointeers and information?

What happens if you fall into the pit?

We clicked on a plant last night and was teleported into the garden. All was ok except our Druid didn't follow and a rat spawned, agro and killed her in the room we left. Being new to the zone we had no idea how to get back to her. As a last resorted I Levant to the zone in, called her corpse and rezzed her. Anyone know how you back track to get dead bodies in this zone?

Thanks for the expertise from those willing to share.

I think EQmaps has a map or two of the zone. It is pretty confusing to be honest. There are lots of teleporters and one-way doorways. The only advice I can give to you is to explore and learn.

I'd avoid the pits to be honest. They drop down into the basement, which while fun and all, gets a bit boring after awhile (and easy to get lost in!).

There are some decent drops in this zone, which make it worth while IMO. There are also some research components that drop here that are *very* worthwhile (I'll leave that to you to figure out).

We went back last night got 2 killer drops. We got 2 very very very rare research components. One allowed me to combine Remove Greater Curse for our cleric in the guild.

What a wonderful hidden zone that is so under utilized. I just love to find places that no one wants to bother with because the planes are so much more popular.

Truth is....POM gives the same XP as POI. The challange is far greater, rewards higher and just the zone itself is a total blast.
