I'm sure you oldies know all about this, but it's new to me and I wanted to share it.

I was in a group in Kurns yesterday and a cheerful Gnome of an obviously experienced player joined us. He set us a route round Kurns Tower where we went from Mob to Mob, killing quickly and moving on, the route we took was a circuit designed such that by the time we got back to the beginning of the route, the first mob we had killed was due to re-pop. Which it did. So we killed it again and moved on to the second Mob in time to see it re-pop also. Fantastic. As we raced around our circuit, we literally saw the Mobs pop in front of our eyes as we arrived to kill it, we went round the loop about three times before I had to log, but it seems you could carry on forever as long as you don't arrive too late so that someone else has taken the 'camp' as it were.

How cool is that!

We were well and truly riding the wave.

Could this be the quickest way to gain XP? You're guarenteed continual killing, without running out of Mobs, and there is no down time at all due to only ever taking on one at a time.

Anyhoo, I enjoyed it, I was giggling all the way round.

Many thanks to the aptly named short one who led us.

Lance.

yes, that is deffinatly one of the better ways to gain xp, and as you noted it is also very fun and exciting to catch the timming just right.

fyi, let me guess that little gnome was a necro... my nec used to do that all the time in as many places as he could.

solo its a bit slower then in a group, but the concept is still the same. find X # of mobs that you can keep dead just long enough to catcht their respawn of back to fighting condidtion again... normaly for the necro its the respawn timmer due to their better solo capabilities and most necs understanding how to manage their mana.

bards also excell at this.

I don't know if it matters but no, he wasn't a Necro, he was a Pally like me. We seemed to do ok though.

For info we also had a Rogue, Enchanter, Druid and erm, I forget, sorry.
