I am apologize, cannot find the thread about zones for level 28's but would like to add what I have seen....I took my level 39 bard to Dalnir (sorry for any misspellings) and I am sad I did not see the zone a few levels ago. I would guess the bard would have done very well (exp wise that is) at level 34 or so solo, as it was I made decent plat and some experience. Of course, to an untwinked bard, not to mention my main, the plat may have seemed low. But I have also hunted ice giants in a group in Everfrost and saw no real difference in the money I made.

I have a 28 SK that I am going to run soon to the zone at some point, too bad there will be none there to greet me :).

/ooc My rating has gone from 2. something to a 5, many blessings to some, and Good Hunting to those that dropped me below a 3 :). Not sure what ratings do, seems to involve a filter of some sort. I am glad I see all and try really really hard to ignore some.

Individual post ratings aren't your actual karma. You see your karma when you first post and before anyone rates you (in this case, 3.23). When you see a five or a two next to your score, it's because someone rated your post high or low depending on how helpful they thought it was, how horrible they thought it was or their own whims. I assume most people keep their filters on "show all" anyway just for a sense of continuity when you're reading a thread.

That said, Dalnir's is a nifty zone. The large number of caster mobs tends to keep people away, as well as how densely the mobs are packed in places. On the plus side, nothing sees invis so corpse retrieval is a snap (assuming you have invis, naturally). Plus the loot is good in fine steel and platinum. Once upon a time, monks used to love the zone for the No Drop armor found here, but it's been long overshadowed by other monk usable armors and is scoffed at now.

Yes, the casters can be really irritating, especially the Coerced Iksar. I managed to pull him twice along with something else and had to zone both times. Either he cannot be charmed, or is immune, either way he packs a solid punch with a spell. The female Coerced dwarf can heal herself which makes for a looong battle. Like I said, I wish I had gone a few levels ago, or taken a partner there around 30ish, the experience was good and the plat was great.

I did not try to pull anything from the room near the zone line(ran into by accident one time, I am so glad the zone line is close lol). Will the whole room come if one tries to pull from there?
