I wouldn't want to throw the character away - not after all the work to get there. If you were planning on beginning a new toon, do it. Maybe after getting to know some people you'll find folks willing to help re-outfit your rogue.

DON'T throw your character away. Work to get your stuff back. SOE has this thing that if you cancel your accout then your toon will stay on their servers for about 6 months. As soon as they see a toon that has not been played in this lenght of time or longer then they elete the toon. I hate to say it, but another otion you have is to pay and have your toon changed to another server that can have muliple toons. For instance, bring him over to THE RATHE server and start there

Buying Plat in your case is not a bad idea.

Although, if you went farming, you could make a couple grand in a night, and that would get you some decent enough gear. It would be enough to get you back on your way. Are your Rogues skills all maxed? But definatly do not delete him.

Just stick it out. Wow I actually like that challenge. Being able to equip almost anything because you have passed almost all of the level requirements. I personally detest the suggestions of buying plat to equip yourself. Just use alla and see what you could go after. Get a few decent things and let the rest of the slots go for abit and work your way up slowly to an awesome weapon and then all the other slots will start filling in faster. I think you are in a unique position. I see it as a way to almost absolutely make you need to master the skills you already have. Since you are out of practice then there ya go.

I don't understand something. If you do not play for a year, but continue to pay the SoE fee, can your character be deleted? Or is it only when you discontinue payments that a character can be wiped?

Your right not many people will group with a naked L56 rogue. Firiona Vie is a different kinda server from the others. If you don't want to, or cannot afford, the plat buying angle.

Your only really strategy is to pretend for a week, or two that your L10 rogue. And start farming, and filling the slots. On one hand that is going to suck. On the other L56 naked farming spiderling silks, and LQ hides, is super rare. Plus if you have any decent tradeskills worked up, you can start making, and selling stuff in the bazaar. Worst part of this advice is FV bazaar MUST be really different from most, seeing how all that N0-drop stuff, is droppable. And that alone has to change the rules in the bazaar.

if your a rogue, go pick pocket hill giants, or other higher level mobs that drop loots.

There are a lot of really good ideas here, thanks. Now I just need to look at getting a fine steel piercer or something. I suppose I could kill spiderlings for their silks with my fists though if neccesary, haha.

Now if only I could have an automated response when people question why I am naked at level 56.

The TLC only applies to magical items. All other items you can loot at higher than challange lvls.

This does have the downside of when trying to get your newbie armor SOME of the drops needed are magical in nature.

It's been 3 days now since the initial post - I am curious about what equipment the Rogue got by now :)

You can recover from naked situations. It takes work and time. I am staggered they even deleted your epic. Sorry for that *sigh*

Farming tradeskill items is your way to instant and easy pp, even if naked. You are fortunate in one respect, all you need is reasonable equipment and a good weapon in the end. Rogues do not need to tank so you could join ldons and other groups on quite poor equipment and no one will notice or care, you still deal dps.

Inheriting a cleric recently that was completely naked, I sympathise. I half equipped her to FT4 (still naked in many slots) before playing her in ldons and other easy groups. Within 3 weeks I had enough ldon points to buy her a BP, legs and an FT2 augment. She is now well equipped after playing her in loot farming areas like Bot tables (/cheer FT bracers).
So recover some equipment, ldon, buy the rest with ldon points. It will all come back very fast

I have a bracer in my trader bags I have been trying to sell for 3 weeks or so for Eivissa and no one is buying it. I am sure Eivissa would not mind you having this and I can see about something else maybe
