Weekends are typcial at my house. Cleaning, cooking, errands, yellowing at my son to clean his room, yelling at the dogs, yelling at my son to clean his room, letting the dogs out, yelling at my son to clean his room. Then between yelling at the dogs and my son, we yell from room to room while playing EQ. My husband is insane from it all and tries to drown us out with surround sound Nascar racing. Just another typcial relaxing weekend at Josettee's house. LOL

EQ this weekend was XP grinding .... I am about to hit 63 and I finally got my EF points for my spell Horror. I figured out what Crow was telling me in regards to DC and suspended minion and got to see some very cool places with the guild I am in while we did mini raids.

Other than that.....just typical yelling at my son to clean his room because he was to busy visiting the planes since he is finally high enough to get in them. Somehow I can relate sad huh?

Friday we all went into velks to kill Lord Bob. The first try went south when the monk pulled 4 spiders and Bob along with them. We had 1 SK live (FD), so after a long CR we started again. Cleric went LD but we managed to kill him off anyway and I got a new toy. It's not a great weapon but the name is nice.

Saturday we headed into Kael to get my dorf head and Juliash Lockhearts Ring. Just one more head and we can run the War on the Giants and get my Ring of Dain Frostreaver IV. We also ran the plate cycle 5-6 times and got some armor drops for the thurg armor quests.

After leaving Keal we were all heading to PoN for a while and a storm knocked my power and cable out. I still have no internet at home /cry so I didn't get to play on Sunday.

Well I am glad you figured it out. I was going to answer, but I can not remember who it was, but someone after me made a post that explained in better detail so I never got back to my post.

Just before the weekend I got a quest turnin to finally happen. Woot me. Finally got an HoH trial (Sore at flagging, But Tori is the best. Follow you anywhere my lady). Grinded some AA xp. Chardok faction you can bite me! I will have your loyalty! I won a few things at the Casino. Still trying for the elusive Holgresh Elder Beads, just not wasting 150k+ to do it. Went to go bowling, lanes were filled, so friend and I decided the bar at the bowling lanes was more suitable :) And a member of the these forums tracked me down. First thought it was a fan (had slight moment of celebritism, that faded quickly :P ) and seemed to form a nice new friendship that I hope to work on soon.

Did a lot of not-so-fun IRL stuff so EQ time got limited. Did a couple N. Ro LDoNs where I was about as capable of a puller as a lvl 4 warrior would be. Luckily, we had a pretty solid group including an enchanter so none of my pulls caused problems, but I was just seriously off my ball that night. Did a E. Commons one later where the monk sent me a tell saying I was a great bard. Good thing he didn't see me in N. Ro.. heh

Tried to get into groups with my mage, but no luck. Log in, summon items, meditate mana back, LFG, no love. No one wants my mage Smiley: frown I could have soloed, but soloing is kinda annoying. I did toy with the idea of buying my mage a horse, but since I don't play the alt all that much I decided against it.

Did some BoT tower named wackiness. No loot for me, but fun regardless.

Friday: did a couple of LDoN's and worked on my baby's on AB.

Saturday: got my guild invite to Allied Kingdoms. Also got to go on my first raid, took out ghost under the waterfall in the Hole, guild seems organised dispite being a feeder guild for a larger guild.

In many ways it shows since most chars are high level alts and as such are experianced raiders.

Only death where from the plunge down the waterfall.

Looks like Jark has a good future ahead.

Sunday: Sport Mania, cricket stright to Canadian Grand Prix followed by the footie, shame we one won 1 out of 3 but the brits put up a good showing in all three

England Vs France final anyone?

Very nice Sunday! I'm envious...
Me? The big 5-0 coming up this week - we started with mucho margaritas at a local Santa Barbara restaurant... after I was sufficiently blitzed, they distracted me while my mom snuck up behind me. Since she lives in Cleveland, I just about jumped out of my skin when I turned around and saw her! It was - very cool...

Big party on Saturday - I had a couple VERY brief opportunities to show EQ to some folks (including my mom), and THAT, my friends, sums up my weekend EQ experience. Other than that, we hung out Sunday down by the beach like most of the tourists and this morning had breakfast at The Brown Pelican, a little beachside restaurant.

EQ next week - hope the guild hasnt disbanded (that happened during one break from play).

interesting weekend this one -

Friday - got in from work and got a guild xp grp at fire tables, made 7 AAs in 3 and a half hours. no raids tonight logged early.

saturday - went paintballing during the day, came back bruised and in pain to an agnarr raid, got my warrior agnarr flagged.

sunday - spent the day in pos getting my warrior flagged for bot, went to the pub to watch the england game. left feeling empty and dejected after england got a last minute spanking. we will get you back france well have our revenge in the finals!

I know what you mean - what do I do when my son has been neglecting his duties and I want to go adventuring with him but can't 'cause he goofed off? My wife is no help - she HATES EQ.

Some guildies dragged me to Kedge to kill Phinny for my epic. Hey, he dropped not one, but TWO Staff of Elemental Mastery: Water.

I had to spend some time doing cash farming. Those level 65 spells aren't going to pay for themselves! Then of course come the few non-urgent spells I'd skipped picking up in the last couple levels.

Did a LDoN which turned out to be successful, yet one of the most frustrating I'd done. The group just didn't click. Our necromancer ended up soloing the finish as the rest of us were trotting back to pick up our corpses.

Spent time in the Plane of Hate with guildmates and friends trying to get my final epic drop. We even got to kill Magi P`Tasa who I'd never seen in my many trips to the zone. He didn't cooperate, for me or my guildmate who needs his drop as well. People keep telling me they're increasing the drop rates of our pieces in the next patch. Here's hoping!

I died a few times this weekend, which is unusual for me, but ended up with an exp gain overall.

Friday was the 1st time I tanked a LDoN with my 54 Cleric. I logged in Fri. night and turned on my LFG tag. Got a tell for a Miragul's LDoN. I lucked into a MGB HoV and KEI in PoK before heading out. (Figured out those acronyms yet Rhaiyne?Smiley: tongue) Seemed like a pretty good group: War, Pal, Brd, Clr, Rog, Dru. But everyone wanted to do a hard except the War and the pallie and bard couldn't agree who would pull. So the war quit. Then the said Godd Luck, then the pallies guild called. And it was just me the rogue and the druid. The GL just started grabbing people and filled the group up quickly. We got a normal adventure and are buffing up before entering when I ask so what class is everyone. Druid, Rogue, Cleric, Shaman, Beastlord, Rogue? I thought OMG, why am I doing this? Well give it a chance, you don't have to have a perfect group. It was decided that the BST would tank, and with three healers we should be able to keep him up. Only thing is, he doesn't want to pull. I said, "I have paci, I can try and pull." Agreed. We decide to take it slow and see what happens.

First pull went great. I pacified the 2nd mob, stunned the first and ran back to the group. Got there, turned around, here came the mob. It smacked me a couple of times and then turned it's attention on the BST's pet. So I sat. Ok, mob's down to 20%, I went and stunned the other one. I ran back. Mob smacked me two or three times, and turned on the BST. I sat again. I hadn't dropped below 99% mana yet. Moved to other side of the room, pacified one mob, stunned the other. Ran back and turned of autoattack. I use a Soulstripper and with HOS form the shaman it would proc 2 or 3 times a fight. Throw in a nuke once and I was able to keep aggro until the ends of the fight when I'ld run to pull the next mob anyway. When we got an add, the druid would dot it and kite it around the room until the group was ready for it. We did have one death though. One of the flying monkeys rooted me and we were winding down to the end. Needed just two or three mobs for the win, so the druid decided to pull another. He pulled 3 and was at 50% health before he made it back around the corner. He was dead before my Remedy spell landed. Noone else died though, and after rezzing the druid, we finished the mission.

I have come to look at LDoN's as a necessary evil. I'm starting to get armor drops from PoG and Kael that have better AC, but less + Wis than the stuff I'm using. I figure I can buy the augs from the LDoN merchants and make up the difference. But most groups I get in are kind of uninspiring, cookie cutter pickup affairs. But friday night, I had a blast! It was so out of the ordinary and so fun! And to think, I was so close to quiting the group just before we zoned in. It just goes to show you, you don't HAVE to have the perfect group to have a good time.
