Does anyone have any suggestions for quests to do (the ones requiring time/effort not large amounts of cash) for a low level enchanter? I've gotten my home town newbie set, just lookin for anything else i can throw on.

If your mainly interested in gear and not time spent questing I would recommend simply raiseing some plat to buy stuff. I can't really think of any quested items for your level that you could do. You might check the quest list for the zone temple of ro for a quest, but most of those quests was designed for level 30+ and by today's standards are not usualyl worth there time.

You can gain some decent plat and merchant loot in pauldal caverns.

Have you done the Stein of Moggok quest?

Allakhazam calls it the Exotic Drinks quest:
https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=13

Only enchanter can do the quest. (It was designed to teach young 'chanters how to use illusions.)

The quest results in the Stein of Moggok: https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=2332, which I checked in The Seventh Hammer Bazaar tonight for a guildmate's alt. There were three for sale, each at 250 plat.
Before PoK was introduced the quest took about 3.5 hours to do and you needed I think about 12 plat or so to get started. Now, with PoK travel, I suspect it's lightening fast.

I started this quest at level 12 and farmed the steins. I musta done it 30 times, till I was sick of it. Best money in the game at those levels, and if you can turn two a night at level 24 with the current porting system, it's still not bad. (There are tips on the chanter boards on streamlining this quest for easy farming.)

One thing I'm unsure of is how well the steins still sell. They used to be in constant demand, as there were almost standard gear for all young int casters. A lot of gear has been added to the game during the past couple of years and I'm not sure if they are still in high demand. Anyone have any current information on this?

G'luck.
