eqclient.exe errorFollow

Hey all,

Installed EQ on my laptop (Athlon XP 2800, 512 RAM, 64mb ATI Radeon Mobility) and anytime I try to run the game it gives me an eqclient.exe error. Looked on the asinine, useless EQ support site, which said "make sure your graphics drivers are updated." No sh*t Sherlock. Unfortunately I can't find Radeon Mobility in either their list of supported or problematic gfx cards. So....does anyone have any idea if there could be some other conflict and, if so, what that might be? Thanks in advance.

laptops are not supported for EQ in any way so you are going to have to live with the fact that SoE will not help you with running EQ on your laptop.

now that is not to say that laptops can not run EQ. mine (much weaker laptop then yours) can run EQ even after the DX9 mandatory patch.

to update your vid drivers for your laptop you will have to hit your manufacturs web site and pull them from there. if they do not have any, then you are just fubar until they do.

ATI it self will not provide any kind of support for mobility video cards because they are all propriatory and thus no drivers from ATI will work with them.

welcome to the world of laptop gaming. its not much better then gaming in linux.

I tried to play EQ on a laptop and got something similar but can't remember the exact error. In the end my video card was not 3D thus EQ wasn't going to work.

I play on a laptop now but I made sure it had a 3D card in it before I purchased it. Works fine and to note......I have never updated my video card.

I figured if it isn't broke don't try and fix it.
