I've never gotten greenie aggro in the Warrens even since TLC was still in effect there. It's where I level all my newbies. The only time I get attacked by greens is due to low hitpoint frenzy or having a low level pet who social aggro's them while in combat.

The only aggro greens in the zone are the various named. As noted, the only one you have to pass within aggro range of to get to SBM is the Batlord.

The only thing I really find silly about it is that Gunthak is so freaking easy to get to but people have been using "difficult travel" as their reason for not going since release. A stone would make so much more sense in Katta, Western Wastes, Highkeep, etc. I'm not saying those places "should" have one, but they're more remote from a PoK point of view. Heck, I can't even think of a place in Kunark that needs one.

They might as well have a single book in PoK that offers you a zone selector dropdown when clicked and takes you to any zone in the game.

What comes next? Book to WW? Book to CS, Book to Ssra?

Inevitably if you take onboard everyone's wishlist in an attempt to "listen" you end up trivialising the content.
They already have all the technology in place to do this:

>Hail, Magus Smedley.
Greetings Samatman, where would you like to [travel] to today?
>/say I wish to travel to Stormwave, just by the gang plank and a little off to the left, please. And can I get some bandages delivered there in a weight reducing pack?
Magus Smedley says "As you wish. Off you go!"

I got some flak on my necro board for this!

A Stone to Gunthak gets this much attention? What bull. If you can't get there on your own, I suppose you'll never bother going all the way to ToFS....or Sebilis....or Maidens Eye....

Of course, if you have problems traveling to such out-of-the-way spots, you'd be much better suited by deleting your necro and making a druid. You can even make money porting wusses around.

And some yahoo complains that he can't waste half an hour traveling when he only has 90 minutes a day to play. Some people just can't do anything themselves.

Hmm, you've really got me puzzled now, back when Stonebrunt was new I used to run through with Camo all the time, spent many levels soloing there.

I used to always loose Camo at the back door leading out of the King's room (unless there was a see invis mob there, which I used to suspect was the case) and I always took a train down the tunnels through the caves to the SM entrance, (back in those days even less people went to Stonebrunt so the train was never an issue) if I got stunned and spun, I would loose half my health before I could find my way and get out.

(Ran headlong into the bear's room one day and shat myself on the spot, lol).

I'm pretty sure I was over 30, as back then with the super aggro range and zillion leopards wandering everywhere, a 20's lasted mere seconds in the place.

Well, I won't debate your experiences. Speaking from personal experience, I've never had a green aggro problem. The only times I've had trouble running to SBM was when the greater shamans were still blue and would attempt to root me en route Smiley: eek

It's academic anyway since, by the time you can group in Gunthak, the Warrens is trivial regardless.

At 43 the only thing that aggros is the cave bat lord, I think he's a *********.
In my 30's though I seem to remember every once in a while various kobolds would try to attack me.
I also ran into that bear one time, freaked me out too, luckily he was very green to me.

Part of this is that some people seem to find it obligatory to begin and end each session in PoK. My Cleric and SK have been camped outside Torgiran so we could pop back in and carry on next time they got to log in. Travelling time - nil.

Apart from the fact that anyone taking 30 mins to get from PoK to Gunthak is obviously going the Twiglet Sea route
