I just downloaded the game via the buddy program> I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to a guild that does not mind accepting new players. I am NOT looking for any handouts. However, I am looking for advice on how to get around and any quests that are worthwhile for a new player. My bias is for a mature, active, and family oriented guild. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
p.s. I started on Brell Serillis (sp?) but wold be willing to move to any mature server.

If you're into RP, you may want to try the FV server. You can only have one character there, but I've found that server to be more fun than any other. Part of that stems from the general level of maturity. It does seem to be a little higher there, in general.
You can find what you're looking for on probably any server. a lot of guilds have recently lowered their required levels for membership, so just shop around. I have found POK to be the best payoff location when looking for a guild.
For quests, I use this site. It lists quite a few newbie quests. I search by class and filter out by level; that gives a decent list to pick through. Then just find the stuff you can handle. Be advised; the reward is not necessarily equal to the time put in. Something easily accomplished may pay off better than something that took a lot of time and effort. Look at the rewards before you do the quests.

In your search for a guild, remember this: Don't just look for any guild that will have you. You are just as much screening them as they are screening you.

Granted I'm co-leader of it, but we are mainly a group of people with some moderate experience in the game. We all play for fun and relaxation, but that's not saying we don't take some things seriously.
