I thought I'd have a look into Mistmoore since it is supposed to be the "hotspot" for the level of a couple of my characters.

On arrival I find enough corpses both sides of the zoneline to remind me of the early days of LDoN.

Inside it is like Crushbone on speed. I swear most of the people could have given lessons on mindless running in circles to headless chickens. I tried a few spawns but the density of people, the /ooc, the spam invites etc, etc just made me want to leave - so I did.

I messed around on MR for a bit, but it doesn't look like anyone plays my hours.

No one in channel, anyway.

Was a nice idea, though. Best of luck with the guild :)

This WAS on MR. I would imagine it's worse on more crowded servers.

I don't use the channel anymore because we have the guild chat up and running, I can start logging into it though.

*edit- to avoid a hijack, i'll say that I haven't been to MM yet, but hey im 20 now so I should go try it. Thanks for reminding me*

Lol, I think it is funny SOE making a zone like MM a hot spot.

For its level it is one of the toughest zones in the game. You really do need to know what you are doning in there.

I hope they keep this up, maybe Dragon Necropolis next? Followed by Akheva? Smiley: smile

This can't be one of the toughest zones in game, my 20 mage on TT can solo the whole zone alone all the way up to the graveyard without any trouble at all. It rarely takes more than 1 nuke from me to put a little DE wuss down. Just my 2 cps

If you compared it to another zone and used examples, you might have had an adequate argument, shut up, you nasty little herbert.

Can't be a Star Trek reference can it? I thought we were trying to ditch that 'geek' label.

First off your message says to the graveyard....you arent even into the "Meat" of the zone yet at Graveyard....the zone is rated to level 50....something SOE forgot to mention....

Heh, it seemed to personify someone very pedantic. That was the imagery I got from the context, but I just wanted to check before I slipped that one into my personal dictionary.

<inserts 'herbert' in the insult list, between 'harlot' and 'idiot'>

irony

Very true. Take your lvl 20 mage and try soloing into the castle Smiley: lol

Speaking of, for all the Paludalesque craziness, is the entire zone being used or is it just a bunch of yahoos by the lake and graveyard? Kind of like how PC is always "crowded" but it's twenty-five people at the bandit camps, one guy fighting owlbears, one guy fighting Shik'Nar and a thousand untouched fiends.

LOL Too true. I love the fiends though. Just made a new necro and was in there soloing fiends through 22. Damn decent xp. Only soloed because no one wanted to come with.

My wife, a couple friends and I have done a couple evenings with our 25ish group in MM recently.

My wife contends that it's experienced players who should know better who are responsible for the man sized stack of corpses at the zone in and mad trains all the time.

I told her I thought it was mostly new players who zoomed thru PC and hadn't hit a "real" zone yet. And I think MM is a pretty challenging zone. Especially if you're not careful.

At any rate, it's just plain scary. Park your high level cleric over there someplace.

I will tell you what though, Lair of Splitpaw is giving out great exp. I was soloing a character at level 28 -30. At level 30, reds were giving 4% exp, Whites 3%, Dk Blues 2% and lt Blues 1%. And it is very quiet on The Rathe.

Pretty much, least on Rathe. Lake almost always has someone, GY is camped 50% of the time, very rarely a group is in the tunnel pulling from the area around the bottom of the ramp.

Took a druid twink from 25-34 over the weekend there, from the top of the ramp into the castle is always deserted. Either a group can't lull the front of the castle right and pulls all 5 or Bronthas shows up at entirely the wrong moment and wipes them. Only seen a group inside the place once, they were pulling to the stairs until they let a runner get away and got crushed by about 734 mobs :)

Good place to figure out who has their stuff together and who doesn't, seen some really, REALLY bad players there, including one 25ish wizardess who seemed to really really like PBAOE spells and sent the enchanter into a raging fit. Think she spammed it and broke mez 7 times (On like 4 mobs) before he started cursing like a sailor.
