EverQuest Foreign Language SupportFollow

I hope someone here can help me figure out EverQuest's foreign language support. I searched the web for about 10 hours and I just haven't been able to find any information.

Supposedly one can play EverQuest in French, German, English, Japanese, and Korean.

I downloaded all the files for all the languages via the Advanced setting in the patcher. Then I would switch the language to the desired language (by clicking on the flag in the Advanced section). What would happen is that the language in the patcher would change. However, after patching, the language of the user selection screen and the game itself would be entirely in English.

Am I doing something wrong? Do I have to change some settings I don't know about? Any of the 4 foreign languages above would work (I'm a linguist, I study them all) for me. Please help me if you can, I've spent all weekend trying to solve this.
