Newbie armor questFollow

I did a total newb thing :/ I started a halfling druid.
I gave my tattered letter (newb letter)to the wrong npc. After giving him the letter he should give me a note to give to another npc to start the armor quest. All the other halfling classes have text you can say to get a note. Except the druid one. Is there a hidden sentence I could say to get a note?

Check your inventory, if you gave you initial note to the wrong npc he should have handed it back to you.
