I'm a level 12 druid/halfling and have been sporting the same armour(leather) for the past 5 levels. Can anyone give me an idea of what type of armour I need to be purchasing or questing for at this level.

Thanks for your help....

Most people are going to tell you that you need to get some wisdom gear. I would agree, but I think it is important to have well-balanced stats. Wisdom gear is going to mean more mana, which is extremely important for you. I'm level 54, and my wisdom still isn't max'd, but I can keep up in groups. When I start getting beat on, I can usually handle the hits for a little while. A lot of druids would just fall over. You could find a halfling tailor and get them to make you some imbued vale studded gear. I make it for newbies for free just because I'm still working on my skill. It has decent stats for newbie gear. If you're a twink, or want to be twinked, you could always run to Umbral Plains and see if anyone is letting some elysian gear rot.

To get to Umbral: Invis, Sow, and even Levi if you can. Nexus to Netherbian Lair, to Dawnshroud Peaks, to Maiden's Eye, to Umbral. Once in Umbral, re-invis, walk out of the tunnel and turn right... Follow the zone until you notice a huge ditch... Just follow that ditch for a ways until you pass up a little castle with some elementals. A little further down the ditch is the elysian camp. Leave all your stuff at home. You don't want to have to worry about CR's. Just practice your spell casting or whatever.

Or you could do the newbie armour quests, better than leather.

I'm a 40 Druid, and there isn't jack to wear in the bazaar (Quellious server...thinking about switching to a new one). I did the newbie quest for armor- it's probably the most rewarding thing I've ever done on EQ. Talk to the guy in Rivervale by the guildmaster...he can give you the details of what he needs. At your lvl, it shouldn't be too hard to hunt for everything. Most of the items can be found off the plagued rats in Misty and the spiders in the walled-in area with the two guards by Runnyeye. Besides, there's a special charm to the 'pen' in Misty Thicket! Where else are you going to find Disney guards with Zorro masks??? LOL

The beginner armor quests at your level would be perfect, since they're all do-able.

Past that, you're going to want to either get some cash to get gear, or start camping stuff on your own. When I made a twink druid on FV after getting my druid on 7th to 65, I ended up getting to about level 54 before I just got bored of doing everything over again.

I started off with the beginner armor. Once I hit about level 25, I started doing Upper Guk, trying to get a pair of Gatorskin Leggings. After getting a pair of those, and selling off the sleeves I got in the meanwhile, I moved on to getting a Shroud of Nature. I ended up finding one in bazaar for really cheap, and since I had sold a few pairs of Gatorscale Arms, I bought it up. That put me right there at +9 wis. I moved on to buying a cheap pair of +2 wis rings, just to tide me over while I farmed other stuff.

About the time I got to level 45, I had made enough money and farmed enough of my own gear to have over 200 wis.

Focus primarily on Wis, and learn to not get aggro. You will not need HP or AC until later in the game, when they become more important than mana itself.
