Stuck in the Erudite Palace TransporterFollow

I hope this makes sense to people. I created an Erudite Magician and went through the tutorial. I went to the palace and into the general town there. When I tried to get back into the palace, I got stuck on the transporter. I transported to the castle, and I was stuck on it. I couldn't get off. Nothing I tried seemed to work. I asked for help, but no one knew what exactly was going on. I was wondering if anyone else had come across this and has an explanation.

That happened to me a long time ago with my Ogre shaman, except my head was poking through the floor above. The INT caster NPC's on that floor took an immediate dislike to me and waxed me but good. I /petitioned and got a GM rez for my troubles since I was not KOS to the guards. I suggested they change the headroom of that portal, but 2 years later shows it never made their priority list.
