Has anyone else checked on thier trader and gotten the message to the effect of: "You have been disconnected from the server due to being inactive longer than permissable" ?

I checked on my traders yesterday morning and that is what I saw - however, I left them up last night and they were OK this morning. Did I miss a new reg on the lenght of time a trader can be left up? I thought the idea was, put the trader up while not playing to convert some of your old stuff to palt and make stuff available to new players without haveing to spam the chat channe with/auction.

I got that this morning. Looked through every setting I could find in both windows and cmos, had all my "timing" things turned off. Never happened before. Anyone know?

Never seen it, but I'll be sure to check when I get home today. My trader has been up since last night around 10PM. I reset the trade window this morning about 5AM before leaving for work.

I was getting this also and checked the official forums: It was stated there that this is just new wording and not a new disconnect. Normally if you lose your connection, you return to the server select screen. Once that times out after a few minutes, you now get this (very misleading) message.

Think Samatman is correct, I got the same message yesterday when I didnt close out the log in screen when I left (I had camped and exited out to the new login screen but didnt go ahead and exit all the way out when I went to pick up my daugher).

When I got back about an hour later, I had that message up on the screen. I have never had this happen while playing, but do remember getting a message stating unable to connect to server a couple of times in a similar circumstances of not logging all the way off and closing EQ.

are you sure something is still not nerfed in baz? it would not be the first time tech is out of the loop on a nerf like this.

Very true about support often being left out of the loop. Also - I think I may need to hijack your sig - after looking at my spelling in that last post. Alla - we need an automatic spell checker in this forum for old guys like me that never learned to type.
