Help restarting after quitting for a yearFollow

#1 May 23 2004 at 5:23 PM Rating: Decent
So anybody have any advice on how to restart after quitting two years?

I have a level 43 Paladin on the Vazaelle server, and quit just after the luclin expansion came out. I gave away all my stuff, but now I think I might want to return since I never really experienced the raiding in EQ. Anybody else done something similar to this? Got any advice on how to build up my equipement again? Cheap items I could go for? Any advice would be really appreciated.

While I havent quit, the game is a lot different than when you left (had they put in the newbie armor quests?). Between the Bazarr and LDONs, you have a lot options on equipment and gear.

You will also find most of the old camps that were crowded are now basically empty. LDON is a huge plus for leveling (though not as good as it used to be) and you can earn adventure points for no drop gear and augs that improve existing gear.

My pallys tracks were BB, orc hill, CB, Oasis/Unrest, but PC and LDON are more common leveling areas now.

Start by farming tradeskill stuff to make leather padding etc. This is probably the quickest way to get yourself enough plat to get basic gear, in a few weeks you should be able to get a good few thousand pp. There is lots and lots of cheap and decent stuff in the bazaar.
