#1 May 17 2004 at 10:41 PM Rating: Decent
Hello Fellow EQ addicts. i am relapsing after quitting for a year and i want to know if trolls and ogres still have the 20%-15% EXP penalty - reason being i wish to create a good soloing beastlord and i like trolls regen but i am turned off a little if there is an exp penalty.

I dont check forums often so if you could take the time to write me a short email i would appreciate it very much TBrownMN@Hotmail.com is my e-mail.

Also, info about the Beastlord class. tips , tricks, favorite solo locs would also be much appreciated.

Thanks for your help in advance because i know how great the people who play this game are =)

I just made an Iksar yesterday and I can say that the exp penalty is definitely still in effect. I'm used to playing my human necro and I felt the pain of that exp penalty quickly.

Different races do have different exp penalties. However, the class based exp penalties are long gone.

I was in a group with an iskar warrior at pc and three lvls in a row I dinged on the same kill as HE enchanter...so I don't about any penalty.

Right Grad, the Iksar gets an xp penalty. None of the rest of the party will see it, but it will take him approx 15% more xp to make the same lvl as a comparable Human Warrior.
