Friday, Saturday - No EQ. Went to visit my GF in London, much sunshine, fine food and the odd bit of booze - hic! Smiley: drunk

Sunday - After a slow grind soloing Nadox got an invite to an Acrylia Caverns Group.

Ding 64! Go Me! Smiley: clap

Wiped out a good few K in the bazaar getting 64 spells and a couple of 63s I didn't have.

Monday - RL Employer Faction Quest. Is there much worse than sitting watching the sun shining from inside a stuffy office? Smiley: frown

Spent really silly amounts of time killing Owlbear Cubs in search of the elusive Small Owlbear Claw. Does it really exist I wonder? Are Kaam Rahir and his friends back in Shar Vahl having a good laugh at the idiot Khati Sha Apprentice spending his time out in the cold and damp of the Moor? At least I managed to deprive Prince Skrietat of his brain while I was out there. Smiley: smile

Levelled my Cleric/Berserker duo from 12 to 14 and moved out of the Warrens to one of my favourite Silk locations. I am suspecting a major nerf since from the first 8 Spiders only 2 Silks dropped as opposed to an average of 2 per spider in previous times.

As things draw to a close on FV I did some tradeskilling. One of the biggest donwsides to FV is that the 1 character limit means you can't have any mules to hold tradeskill materials or Bazaar trading goods. Trying to skill up when the only space you have in your bags is enough for 20 combines is a bit annoying to say the least.

Friday - Got up early to pack and moved home from college. Just chilled with my friends that night. No EQ.

Saturday - Back home from college for the first full day. Mowed the lawn for the first time this year. Much unpacking, but spent the evening watching the Richmond race (go Little E!) and eating Taco Bell. No EQ.

Sunday - Woke up to my dog barking at 9:30am, early for us college kids. Took her to the park to run around. Came home and cleaned off deck furniture for company. Ate dinner and chilled with friends all night.

Thursday was a very nice day for Forgotten Nemesis. Much more backflagging completed with Tallon Zek, Vallon Zek and Terris Thule defeated. We are now looking set to kill Solusk Ro and gain access to the plane of Fire. Just one more Rallos Zek the Warlord kill (and subsquent backflagging completed from his demise) should see us able to raid in the elemental planes Smiley: yippee
On the raid I was also stunned to receive a Stonewood Compound bow from one of our guild tradeskillers. We have been slowly farming the parts required in the planes but to see our guild efforts rewarded and to receive a bow myself! I was knocked over, I could not love my guild more for the team spirit it has Smiley: smile

Sunday I missed our guild raid.

I have also reached a quandry with my Ranger. Planes xp and Sol Ro xp have seen my little Ranger soar from just over 100AA to 265 in a month or two (yes planes xp is *that* good). I have trained all the defensive AAs, all offensive AAs and even some God AA's like weapon affinity 5. I think I am bored with AAs Smiley: eek To try and spice things up and because my guild has a healthy RNG and WIZ friendly rivalvy I am now training spell casting fury.
My ambition is with bard song, ID IV and my best nuke to one day outnuke a wizzie (when they do not land a nuke well) and post a screenshot of this. A silly EQ goal maybe, but we all have to start somewhere Smiley: smile

I was also told that the guild I once loved on FV will be disbanded on the 22nd of May Smiley: frown May it rest in peace.

Rained all weekend so it was EQ all weekend.

Friday night made my toon on MR. Joined the serverside channel but no one on. I think I did some leveling in Naddox. LOL to many days ago to remember.

Saturday after all the house stuff.......Naddox! Somewhere between Thursday and Saturday I got level 58. I guess I am to old to keep up with such details.

Sunday.....went from level 58 to 59 in Temple of Droga (something like that, to lazy to look it up). XP was killer!!!! Raid Sunday night, went to ****.......regrouped after the raid leader got upset and left. Raided Acrylia Caverns and got my Lucid Shard!!!! Sunday was a good day!

Friday& most of last week- Searched for pieces for Sorakor's newbie armour (froglok cleric) to no avail.

Saturday- Searched for pieces of Sorakor's newbie armour to no avail, created a beastlord to ease my frustrations. I'm finding the beastlord surprisingly fun even though they are just a poor man's warrior for the first 9 levels.

Sunday- Spent more time with the beastlord getting smeared by level 3 mobs since I have no armour on. That night I met up with Old Blue, Rhaiyne and Stands, played my cleric very poorly and let stands die twice in a row. I then headed to befallen, where I lat a plague rat get away from me and caused a massive train (only effected me luckily) and died a quick death.
I rreealllllyyy need to work on clericing skills.

No EQ during the weekend... It has been 14 days now since I last played, and I think I need some 24 hours in a row to get rid of this withdrawal syndrome... *shivering*

Friday got my Necro and Cleric duo on FV to 24. Not bad for less than a 5 days's worth of play.

Saturday - BIG Magic the Gathering tournament. Made it all the way to the championship round. (I won the first 5 rounds pretty easily.) The semi-final round was a squeeker, but I managed to force my opponent to mana burn himself when he had one life point left. Lost in the finals to a very, very good player. I have to admit, the girl who beat me sure knows how to put a killer deck together. She cleaned my clock and then some.

Sunday - Hate raid on Povar. It was a fun time. Only got 1 AA, but I had a good time nevertheless.

Performed the GoD jewelcrafting quest. I can now make GoD jewelry! Woot!

For some reason, also completed the GOD fletching quest. I don't know why an enchanter needs to fletch, but I mainly did it to get the skill ups. 53 free skill points in a previously untrained tradeskill is always good. =)

Got ever closer to lvl 56 on my chanter. Went to Grieg's End for the first time. Wow. What a zone. XP there is great - was getting upwards of 1% xp per kill on some mobs. Had our group stayed for another hour, I would have hit 56. However, I still have a full yellow bubble to go. =(

Also got my pally just shy of level 49 (haven't played him in several months, but we needed a pally that level for an LDoN), and a new set of spells, and my cleric just short of lvl 39 and Complete Heal. Since making my cleric, I've discovered I enjoy playing that class more than I thought I would. Also, it's super easy to find a group.

Also went to Plane of Storms for the first time. After 2 group wipes in under 90 minutes, we disbanded, but the few mobs we killed were great xp. Have to go back there when I'm a bit older, as my lvl 55 chanter can't mez mobs there.

Friday - just some tradeskilling and called it a night fairly early.

Saturday - Got one whole level on my beastlord on BB. She's now 29 and I'm looking forward to level 30 for the new spells. Can't wait to get SoW and shrink! Spent some time on my cleric on MR but never saw anyone else in channel. Picked up a few nice items for her in the bazaar even though the pickings are pretty slim still.

Sunday - Started working on getting my necro her 4th AA. She has regen3 and needs run3 before I turn her back to regular exp. She's been 51 forever now, it seems. Didn't get much done when was asked to switch to my main, 58 mage, to help GL's cleric fight down to turn-in mob in Solb for her epic. After that, logged on my druid to help my mage locate the ^%#@*#%^ Quillmane in SK. I swear, I'll never get that blasted cloak. /sigh

Sunday evening - logged on my 46 beastlord on FV and after a bit got into an LDoN group. One of the best groups I've had in a long time. We did EF and had bst (me), druid, mage, monk, cleric, warrior. We did a hard slaughter and had a blast! Everyone worked very well together. I would have stayed for another, but it was getting late and I had to get up VERY early Monday.

Was a good EQ week-end.

Sick of my rogue for a bit so I rerolled my second account for the 85th time or so.

Beastlord again. I fear it will be a Paladin next week, then a Cleric....

Friday I finished off 54 killing trolls and then worked on smithing for a while.

Saturday we decided to hit old seb for some exp. Doing fine until we had runner get away, wipe... Ran back, looted corpse, got tired of waiting for druid to get back so I decided to run from entrance to exit. Run, run, run... Woops, wrong turn. Fell into the water and swam to a ledge just in time to see 1,2,3,8,12 frogs.. Ugggh!! Cast FD... Fall to the ground... LOADING PLEASE WAIT. Ran back summoned corpse and had a nice wiz TL me out of there.

Later went on a few LDoN's with guildies and got 54 back. Hit Dulak for some carefree kiting and gems.

Sunday PoN til 55.

I (very unintentionally) met a really great girl on a mailing list for one of my non-EQ interests... Similar interests, no boyfriend, not opposed to the idea of a relationship. I could end up with my first actual girlfriend if I don't ***** it up by being me :P. I basicallt talked with her all weekend, but on Friday I ate some bad undercooked eggs and was really sick with a fever. I ended up telling her a lot of personal stuff I wouldn't normally say in my right mind, but she said it was okay. So for the first time in, well, ever my love life's looking up.
Mental note: Do not ***** this up...

Yeah my wife to be has a beastlord, and I regularly watch her solo reds and basically just defy all logic. Then I go back to my Paly and look for something about 10 levels lower than me to solo.
(BTW, yes I am now eating my words when I posted a while back that paladins are a great solo class... silly Mulamen.)

Paladins are a good solo class but since we dont have high damage output we have to choose our areas. Now to return to our regularly scheduled posting.

Friday played some with Courtin did a Ldon, had the first person join my "purple club" when I pulled his necro but back into the green. I then got on Jonwin in dulak. After a half hour I finally got the black necklace.
Bummed an invis and ran to Gunthak.

Saturday was spent looking at bank storage, casting temp in Pok and in getting jonwin to the spawn point for the erudite spirit.
At one point some guildmates started cursing in chat so I said turning off guild chat and why. I think others complained as well.
Went to usher at local theatre and came back. Spent some time in conference with Elne and the teen about house responsiblities if the teen moves back in after school is over.
Logged back on to Jonwin and the guild chat was now full of bashing the folks who complained about the language in guild chat so I said bye and had myself disbanded. (Forgot that the guild manager has a function to leave guild. ) I dont think I will be missed.
On sunday did more looking at the bank on both slots, cast more temp in POK then went to mom's for dinner. Elne, her eldest, husband and our grandchild were also along for the fun and food.
Sunday eve. found courtin doing a ldon and dinging 49.

Ended up with a new neck piece for Celeni and a wonderous new belt for Babastina - with +4% to taunt!?

Another good weekend... the further I progress in this game, the more it seems to open up in front of me. Trying to get my ranger to 17 so he can dual wield...

Limited time to play on Friday and Saturday and so only made it to 16 but no worries, duoing and grouping is much more fun than the solo grind! Met up with Mulamen and Standsinshadow (and of course Rhaiynebow) ingame. Had a blast tooling around EC and playing with folks I know and like! Ended up working in pairs due to XP limitations while grouped but it was fun anyway.

I know there are still tons of places I haven't been and much I haven't done but I just can't wait to hit lvl 17. And then there's LDoN in the not to distant future... I almost feel guilty wanting to rush ahead (even if it is just a step or two), but I can't help but think that being able to DW is gonna make a large difference. Oh, maybe not at first... at first I expect he'll just wiffle a lot!!! - you swing with your off hand but miss... you swing with your off hand but miss... you swing with your off hand but miss... you really do suck at this!

Oh, yeah... I almost forgot... My Gnome tinker is costing me a fortune! A long string of failed combines in a futile attempt to skill up left me thinking of my last trip to the craps tables in Las Vegas! Going 0 for 8 is not my idea of a good time! Who said trade skilling was FUN??? It's TRAUMA, man!!!

Can I just point you at this quote from EQTraders

Quote:
This is a skill for gnomes who like to putter. Below level 16, gnomes have a base skill of 50 in this skill, and, at level 16, they are then allowed to progress all the way up to skill 250. Combines are performed in several types of toolboxes

So sub-16 you will never get a skill rise.

I finally decided to form my own ldon group instead of waiting hours on end for someone to want me (55druid) and want me to heal with my pathetic 583 heal ( I cannot keep up at this level). So I did, and formed the most wonderful group ever! We stuck it out for two ldons and did awesome. Had me(druid), cleric, warrior, bard, rogue, and necro. We all added each other to friends and have been in contact since. Great Group!

Solo'd a bit in Dulak for some loot. Trying to save up to do Protection of Cabbage quest and get Solstice earring :) Tried soloing in Acrylia caverns....It wasn't pretty. I'm really trying to find a new place for my druid to solo. I suck at quad kiting terribly so that isn't an option, but I am good at root rot:)

Got my SK to level 20 and did one ldon. That is really tough to put together a 20ish level ldon....Took forever. But we got it done. Kinda nice to be able to melee for a change.

Great weekend though :)
