I just hunted in the new MMC hotspot and am now lvl 30 I heard that DSP is good and I went there when most people are on yet I only found 2 people hunting there my level. I like places with 10-40 people in the zone but at my level it seems hard I might go to splitpaw lair thats the other hotspot zone later but any other places are good I have all expansions btw

I know exactly what you mean Lanhy. I've only got two toons up to levels 15 and 16, but it has taken me a couple of months, and I still spend most of my time alone. 600,000 peolple playing EQ are obviously in different zones and on different servers. If you find anywhere where there are lots of people please let me know. By far and away, the best times are the grouped times.

thats cause there really arent that many true low lvl ppl around anymore and the ones that are around are mainly alt twinks getting power lvled and stuff. the reason not many ppl are in the zones mentioned is because most people are in ldon or PoP or GoD. its a shame really but the game is at that stage and theres not much you can do about it except maybe join the latest newbie server.

For level 30, take a look in OT and Echo Caverns.

I remember reading somewhere that 65% of all people who play EQ have at least one lvl 65 main character and that they spend 80% of their time playing their main. On the old servers, like Povar, Cazic-Thule, Innorruk, etc. I would think the percentage is probably even higher than 65%. I've noticed all the newbie zones and cities are pretty much empty now. Even the old favorite hunting spots like the Aviaks, OT, Mistmoore, and GD are empty. LDoN has also taken a bite out of the pool of available low level players in the zones. It's tough being a low lvl in today's game if your toon can't solo.

Yup, I've soloed my way to where I am (22). While I did get a few groups while in Kurn's Tower, it's pretty much been solo before and after that. With no end in sight. I tried to get up some people for LDoN last night and got absolutely zero positive response. There just wasn't anyone around my level there.

That's ok, only 43 levels to go. Then I can join the majority. :)

I am not sure at your current level where people are (my mains are higher and alts are lower LOL). I would think that BB LDONs would be your best bet - there always seem to be people in the their 30s LFG based upon the tells I see there.

Splitpaw and Aviaks used to have groups at your level when I was playing as well as Unrest. You can get an idea of where people are by using the matches part of the LFG.

Also think that everytime there is an expansion (or event like the anniversary) people tend to move there to try it out which drops the older zone populations (Rathe Mts used to be packed, but were nearly empty last night and was still not bad when I played this weekend - more HGs than people LOL).

While it is harder to find groups in the older zone, you also don't have the huge waits for camps that were a pain a couple years ago - and given that LDONs requires a group, I think overall change is for the better.

Finally, are you in a guild? Since joining one, I have a lot more grouping options than before, and there always seems to be a couple of people at all levels looking LFA.

Its difficult to solo as a warrior period. A little easier than in the past now that you can bind wounds sitting and up to 70 percent.

You really would be better off posting this on your server board.

There are probably many others in the same predicament as you, but Norrath is such a big place you could easily miss one another. By posting on your server board and mentioning the time slot , pretty likely you will here from others willing to meet up with you.

I am on the Quellious server and have found it to be almost completely empty in many of the newbie zones I used to level my toons from lvls 1-30. Can anyone tell me what the best newbie zone is out there? Groups are still the way to go...heck, even the Orc Highway is usually empty these days on this server. I used to have to wait in line...I know this has to be attributed to less people playing these days, but if anyone can name the server where Newbies are directed to, I'll make the jump to lightspeed and go there.
