As a up and coming Zerker, I was wondering if I should go 2h or duel wield for best damage output--thanks!!
They can only use 2 handed weapons so I guess you don't have to worry about which to choose.

Then why can zerkers train duel wield at 15 and train 1h slash and 1h blunt at level 1?

They can't. Only skills are 2HS, 2HB and piercing (where I suspect they may be limited to 2H piercing.
What they get at Level 15 is Double Attack this is the chance to hit twice in the same blow. It is nothing to do with dual wield.
