When I want to sell items, what do I do to have the item name appear in the main window so that it's highlighted and can be clicked on?

Not a dumb question at all, if you're asking what I think you're asking. Right click on the item in inventory, when the box comes up keep the right mouse button down and drag the cursor over to the info box that comes up. Then left click on the picture of the item in the info box. This will put a link to the item in your chat bar.
