Am going to be leading guild on training raid for this cycle - once saw, did not bookmark, a fantastic guide to the cycle. Does anyone know this link, and can I get it here?

Is one of many guides and lists on an EQ topic website...

Look up Froglok Forager and Froglok Hunter and the Key to Sebilis here on Allakhazams. There are some good charts listing the mobs on each cycle plus loots.

I got Sebilis keys pretty much just from 2-boxing my cleric and ranger. Set up in cave to SoNH, send ranger out towards lake to start tracking, pull back to cave.

hunting foragers/hunters is easy. pick a spot in TT as a camp, zone in is a good spot, or the river cave area is prtty good too, and send out a tracker or two to look for either foragers or hunters and pull em back, they are both nearly always up so as long as you have ppl out pulling you will have a nearly constant stream of em incoming.

you can also maybe pull a few of the named mobs in TT if they are up. a lvl 60+ char can very easily solo his/her own forager and hunter medals and a grp of 50+ can handle em easy too.

This is not an option - it is a necessity.

The "named mobs" are part of the cycles. If you don't kill them then you won't see another forager/hunter (depending which cycle they are on). With some this can mean hunting the zone for them as they can spawn down near Seb and be off-track from ZI or cave.

Unless the cycle is bugged (which does happen now and then) only one mob on each cycle will be up. When it is killed the next spawns instantly. If there is no forager up then you start looking further afield.

In fact the reason most people do the cycle is in order to kill the named mobs for things like the Iksar Illusion mask, Meditation Blanket, or Ceremonial Iksar Breastplate. Getting the medals for the Seb key is trivially easy. Although if you want the whole raid keyed you will be there a while.

Get the list and use it

no its not a neccessity, you can (and i have) killed foragers and hunters continously without killing any other mob, they are thier own PHers and they are on a very quick timer as there is always at least one or the other (if not both)up.

Nope you are wrong.
Perhaps there was another group killing there. There is always one mob on each cycle up so there will either be a forager or a named on the forager cycle, plus a hunter or a named on the hunter cycle.

Why do you think they are called cycles if it is just two mobs? Each time you kill a forager or hunter there is a chance one of the named will be the next mob on that cycle. And the timer is instant. As one dies another spawns.

Jennock will post soon hopefully. He is the master of this having farmed it far more than I have.

no, the named MAY spawn in place of the forager/hunter but its not a dead cert. ive farmed here various times solo, 2 boxing, with a raid or with a grp, being a tracker i get to see whats up and what isnt. and to be honest in all my time there ive never had a time where there was no hunter or forager on track in some part of teh zone. and its more than possible to be there hours without a named spawning.

oh and ive seen BOTH the forager and the hunter up on quite a few occasions, its not a bug.

there are 2 cycles , the forager cycle and the hunter cycle . seeing both up at the same time is normal. if you dont see both , then one is out of tracking range . when you kill the hunter another mob on the hunter cycle spawns (this could just be another hunter since it's the common spawn) . when you kill the forager another mob on the forager cycle spawns (could be a forager) . what is a bug is seeing 2 foragers or hunters up at the same time . not sure how that happens but it does .

I have frequently seen multiple hunters and foragers up at a time on tracking. They do spawn rather frequently (as long as someone is killing them) but even when I'm the only one in the zone (2-boxing) they still come quickly. This was over a year ago, though, so there may have been any amount of tweaking going on.
