Bazaar ProblemFollow

#1 May 12 2004 at 8:18 PM Rating: Decent
I've noticed a recurring problem when I leave my character AFK for long periods in the bazaar, which I am prone to do since I'm bone chipping my way to financial freedom from creditors.

If I return to the PC and find something that I actually want to purchase, I cannot for the life of me manage to do so without logging off and back on. I can easily navigate to the person selling, but no amount of right clicking seems to bring up their wares. As soon as I relog, I can get it with no problem. I'm using broadband cable and have a very good connection according to the various broadband tests I've tried out there. Does anyone else experience this problem?

That sometimes happens to my trader but mostly at the bank. What I do is to left click (to get his attention) then hit escape to lose the target (don't want to get smacked to death!) and then right click on him. Works every time.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try that as soon as I get home. Vacation is no vacation without EQ.

Make sure that your trader window is closed before you try to buy something, otherwise it will block it.

When you just step off the trader stand, or you hit end trader, the window will still be up. So just double check to make sure that is closed as well. Escape may work as it closes the top most window ;) so that could also be what oldblue is seeing. (repeated escapes close repeated windoes....be careful with this tho, especially while invis in a bunch of mobs. More than once I've hit escape to clear out windows...and hit ~ accidently, thus turning on attack, thus becoming visible...thus gating to bind naked hehe).
