Where can I get a sewing box?Follow

#1 May 12 2004 at 9:59 AM Rating: Decent
I'm a high elf level 6 in Felwithe and I need a sewing box to make silk thread from spider silk for a quest. I tried the tailor in my town, but she didn't have one.

Thanks.

What you need a small sewing kit, keep checking the tailoring vendors by using the find function and you should find one. If not check the regular merchants.
good luck

What you need is a sewing kit not a box. The tailoring merchant should have one. It looks like a wooden box with a red lining on the merchant. They come in both large (8 slot) and small (4 slot). The large is more expensive but inventory slots are valuable so get the large and use it as a backpack when not tailoring.

If you can't find one in Felwithe I know you can find them in PoK from the merchants in the building near the fishing vendors all the way in the back. Use the find feature to locate the tailoring merchants.

There's a small chance to get a better one if you check the merchants near the casino in Shadowhaven. The deluxe sewing kit is a booby prize from the casino and you can rarely find one there for under 2pp. The deluxe sewing kit has 10 slots instead of 8.

Or... you can come outside, take a quick left turn, hit the book up to PoK and either pick one up there or take a stone down to Qeynos or Freeport. There must be a Gazillion of the things in those two towns!

After all, it's nice to get out and see a bit of countryside now and again. And, since all three of these books are located in newbie zones, you'll be perfectly safe traveling to and from home and PoK is a neutral zone so no worries there either. Have a nice trip!

One more thing... if you think you're EVER going to do any real tayloring (as opposed to just the thread out of silks thing), go ahead and invest in the large kit now and forget about getting the small one at all.

Just my 2CP...

While getting the Sewing Kit is the best move don't forget that you can use a Loom for the combine as well. These are static tradeskill containers and should be marked on the map. I'm sure there is one in Felwithe somewhere.

the loom in Felwith: When you first zone into where the INT caster GM's are, you hang a right into that first door and you're staring right at the loom! right next to the merchant selling those great gems we all need :)

Hope this helps too.
