Hey =)

I have started a Monk on the Torvonnilous server. I have a few questions that concern the 50+ aspect of the game.

Do players want a Monk in the later levels, say a pickup group.

Can I solo at all ?

What roll will I take on?
IMO (DPS and Pulling)

I read in the forum a lot, “play what you like”. love the Monk, he is a hoot to play
But I don’t want to play a Toon I can’t get a group with in the later levels.

One last question, I would like to find a Guild on the Torvonnilous for my Monk. I don’t want to be PL. Just a good group of peeps that like to help one anther, raid form time to time, and just have fun. If you know of one could you post a link please.

Thanks for your time and incite into the world of a Monk =)

Monks seem to get groups fairly easily on Torv.

You may be able to solo a bit, but it is always better to group.

As far as a guild, most of the ones that raid somewhat are going to want you to have at least some levels before accepting you. I am currently in Order of the Sword which has a minimum level of 45 to join, but they are a great group of people who also raid from time to time. (although not exactly planar capable, more of a end of velious/beginning of luclin strength guild)

Get good at pulling, and you'll probably never have a terribly hard time finding a group when that's coupled with your DPS. These two things, pulling moreso than damage, will be your primary attributes throughout your play time.

As far as I know monks are better soloists than some, but not wonderfully good at it. With the new bind wound and regeneration changes you may be a lot more effective however.

You might want to swing past http://www.monkly-business.com for more in depth answers, since, well, most of those guys play monks as mains. ^_^
