No.
Not unless you do the gnoll slayer quest an then the gnoll slayer upgrade quest, which gives you one or somewhere less than 5 charges of companion spirit.

Well... you will, at very high levels, get a hammer "pet", but it isn't one you control. It's sort of like an enchanter's animation, only more so.

Magician, Beastlord, Necro, Shaman (at level 34 I think), Enchanters have a pet in the loosest use of the term.
I'm getting the feeling I'm forgetting something...
Try out a beastlord to start with, very easy pet to deal with. Magicians get four pets that are specialized in what they do if you'd rather go that route.

Mage, Necromancer, Beastlord, Shaman and Shadowknight all get true pets. There's considerable debate about who has the strongest pet between Mages, Beastlords and Necromancers. All three are fairly strong and very useful.

Enchanters get a pet but can't control it until they spend some AAs.

Enchanters, Bards, and Druids can charm pets with some limitations. High level Enchanters are very good at this.

Druids and Wizards get something like a pet but not really. Druids get a really gimp bear and wizards can summon a familiar that's little more than a graphic buff.

There may be more but that's all I can think of.

You forgot shadowknights, but considering their pets, that's completely understandable :) Druids get a very green pet at 55 - it is useful to farm bone chips for your necro friends.

Druids and Shadow Knights also get pets. SKs pets are weak in comparison to their own level. Druids get one at level 44. Bards can also charm a NPC for a pet (at level 27).

Druids get a pet at level 55. It's a bumbling black bear. But its so weak its more decorative or sacrificial then truly useful LOL.

Unless Ala's spell list is incorrect, and I am missing a pet. Druids don't get one til 55.

Just thought I would clarify that.

The only pet a cleric can get is a hammer pet at 55. It is actually ok during long fights and such but it is beyond your control and once it has lost it's target it dies. This means if the target is mezzed or dies your hammer goes poof. HOwever if you can get the next monster in line to hit you then the hammer will move to the new target and not die off.

I use it alot when fighting sub 60 monsters when DPS is low. It hit's for 70ish if I recall correctly. It has VERY low hp so don't expect it to be tanking anything.

Summon Companion

Summon companion only calls your existing pet (charmed or summoned) to your side. The Ribbon of Empathy has this as a clicky effect, which is rather nice since most people wouldn't waste a spell slot on this otherwise.

This is a great spell for keeping charmed pets at great distances then summoning them to the next fight.
