Was I supposed to read that or add it up?

Whatever happened to words?

Your only hope of getting your account opened lies in your ability to communicate your problem clearly and convincingly to a skeptical SoE CS hack who has heard every sob story in the book.

On the evidence of this thread you are doomed.

It would seem that if your brother is enlightened enough to fork out 12.99 a m onth for you to play he would be able to stump up the $30 to get you started. Although I'd almost hope he doesn't.

I needed a laugh today!!!!!!!!

My son better think EQ is his girlfriend at 14!!!!!!!!!! He to would be grounded till he was able to get a job, support himself and move OUT!!!!

On that note I would work his **** off every moment he was awake.

LOL

He wouldn't even have the luxury of EQ, which since the understanding brother is paying for I am sure the smart parents have said NO!

Have the very understanding brother buy you a new set if he really can feel you pain!!!

GROW UP!!!!!!

Five years from now trust me she won't be worth it, ask any man on this board and that comes from a female.

Countries have fallen over women so be it a 14 year old learns the hard way.

This sob story made me think of some of the really stupid **** I pulled at that age (and afterwards) so I won't pile (much)extra bashing on at the moment.

However, I will state that if you're grounded until you are 18, surely you have some time to spend on grammar and capitalization for your posts. Just those two small innovations would increase the sympathy factor greatly. Eloquent beggars are far more appealing.

Now, on to my point. Exactly what sort of ***** grounding is this that allows you to play Everquest? When I used to get grounded, it meant something. I didn't get electricity in my room, much less luxuries such as televison and computer time (we did have an Apple IIE back then).

I see two main possible situations here:

#1 If your parents are already wimping out so badly on the issue of grounding that you can play EQ, you may as well just do whatever you like. They're obviously not contributing enough discipline to really change your ways. So disregard what they tell you; instead do whatever you please until it lands you in boot camp or jail where you can gain the benefit of some discipline and maybe learn how to control your impulses. There's also the possibility of some 'good luvin' in the deal for you. Just steal the cash from your parents and buy the Evolutions package. It's a step in the same direction.

#2 If your parents actually have grounded you from entertainment like EQ and you're just going to do it anyway....congratulations, you didn't need the advice from #1.

Good luck in your new cellblock.

Advice from me is...take the money from your brother that he was supposedly going to spend on EQ for you and go online and BUY A GODDAMNED DICTIONARY -- MY 8 YEAR OLD SPELLS BETTER THAN YOU DO.

Hmmmmm... do I detect a note of sarcasm here?
Naaaahhh... couldn't be!

But, regarding TStephens's point; Since you are being grounded for deceiving your parents and since from the fact that your *understanding* brother has agreed to foot the bill we can assume that your folks don't want you playing EQ right now... Aren't you just piling felony on top of felony instead of learning something from the object lesson they are trying to teach you?

I understand that you don't *want* to be under house arrest but lying to them is what got you there in the first place. My advice would be to suck it up and serve your time. EQ will still be there when you get out. And you will have developed a little moral fiber.

Not to mention that your parents are already probably paying for your deeds ... if you broke into the place then there was probably damage that they had to pay for.

I don't think being grounded with EQ is any sort of punishment at all. Seriously, what have you learned, except that break and enter will get you lots of play time?

Accept that you were wrong, that you hurt several other people, take responsibility, make the best of it, learn from it ... or start a cycle that will soon have much more severe consequences.

I wouldn't be surprised if the whole thing wasn't the fabrication of a fevered adolescent brain.

At that age breaking into somewhere and spending the night with a girl probably sounds like the heights of "cool". It may all just be a ploy to gain sympathy. Not that it has worked Smiley: smile

The structure has become less credible with each new revelation.

You know, as much as people pretend they dislike people like ManSlaughter in forums, his posts always manage to get decent numbers of replies.

I for one, would like more ManSlaughter. ^_^

I'm back. I called customer service and they reactivated my account. I currently am playing on the Morden Rasp Server. I have a LvL 10 Paladin (Lerenax), and a LvL 6 Cleric (Lerenex), and I just started a magician today (Oronox). I hope to see you guys on the Morden Rasp Server and if you notice my name, send me a tell. Thx for nothing. You didn't help me at all and thats all I wanted, help. Instead you focused on the wrong things. Oh well... I am playing EQ again. LATER!!!
