Hi all,

A quick one if I may. Can anyone confirm for me where I can get an orc fibula?

Alla says they are dropped by Orc Slavers and Wardens in Crushbone, but I must have killed a gazillion Slavers and never seen one. I'm pretty sure I've never seen a Warden either. Where does he hang out?

If you kill the slavers in the slave cave the warden will eventually spawn with them. Fibula is a pain but it will drop.

It took me hours and hours to get the two fibulas for my bard newbie armor... just stick to the place (slaver cave) and kill and kill and kill...

The Warden spawns in the caves in the back by the cabin, not pits by the castle where the Taskmaster pops.

The warden pops fairly often, but can be a pain since you usually get a couple of slaver adds and the slaves will heal him if you don't pull him outside.

Been a while since I played CB, but used to be that there were lots of tells about orc parts rotting since most classes don't need them for armor quests.

Heh, thanks for the help, I've now finished all me newbie quests and got the full set of shiny green Trueshot armour. (and the sword, :) )

The slaves healing the Warden? That answers my question about why I keep seeing people killing the slaves. Why would the slaves do that? Stokholm Syndrone?

For that matter, What's that blinkin' named Dwarf doing there? OK I know the DE Dvinn is obviously doing some dodgy deals with the Orcs, but whats the evil Dwarf up to?

Should I be reading the story board? Am I missing something?

LOL

Thanks

Well they are...SLAVES! I would say they are forced by the evil magic of the Orcs and threat of retaliation if they do not.

I would lump the Slavers, Taskmaster, Warden, even Scoutsman as cantidates for obtaining the fibulae.

Location of slavers:
Cabin near caves.
Caves.
Pits.

Warden is in the Caves.
Taskmaster pops outside the Pits.
Scoutsman is in his own (burning) cabin near the slave cave/cabin

If I were a 'good' race, I would NOT kill slaves. If you do, you will get bad faction hits with their respective races. You can however 'free' them if you get the proper key that the Slavers drop, and get good faction hits. If you are an evil race this may not matter. In fact some slaves give + Indigo Brotherhood or + Crushbone Orcs for killing.

Other Notable NPCs to worry about:

Kelynn (Wood elf slave) is a Kelethin Rogue Spy but will still help the slavers. He spawns in the cave near the tunnel to the moat. See the wood elf rogue guildmaster behind the Scouts of Tunare building for more info.

Rondo Dunfire (Dwarf rogue) Looks like a slave, but he is not. He will aggro on you if you have bad faction with the Butcherblock Bandits (most people). He spawns in the same area as Kelynn.

Retlon Brenclog (Gnome caster) He is a gnome slave in the small pit. If you get stuck down there, try climbing the tree to get out. He will aggro on you if you have bad faction with the Eldritch Collective (good gnome casters). He also has a pet.

Check out the 'release the slaves' quests in Crushbone to know which keys release which slaves.

If you do attack any slaves, they will come after you, even to the entrance of Crushbone. (Funny, they seemed chained down before...)

The slaves in the slave cabin (two dwarf smiths, and high elf cleric) cannot be released by keys. They are part of another quest.

Not 100% sure but I think these are the factions:

Dwarfs: Kaldim merchants, Storm Guard
Wood-Elf: Kelethin Merchants
High Elf: Felwithe Merchants
Retlon: Eldritch Collective
Kelynn: Scouts of Tunare
Rondo: Butcherblock Bandits

D'vinn is the well known Dark Elf Ambassador on Indigo Brotherhodd faction. Kill him! hehe
