What are the chances of SOE giving us a flying mount?

Griffawns float around, Levitate and DMF allow my necro to really get pretty high off the ground. The code seems to be there.

Can't you levitate on current mounts? Or not. I never actually tried...

One of the things to remember is that EQ still has a fundamental issue with Z-axis. They've done a lot of work on it, but for the most part, nothing in the game technically flies. They just float above the ground. There's a lot of reasons for this (LoS and pathing being really obvious ones).

I suppose they could give us flying mounts, but they'd just be like any other mount, but maybe with levitate all the time. Kinda neat, but you'd probably pay a bundle for them.

I actually find levitate while on a mount to be very annoying. Normally to 'fly' downwards you just have to look down and move forwards but if you're on a mount this doesn't work. You have to stand around and wait to float slowly down. A mount that flies in the same way as SoE etc would be something I would consider buying.

I just got my holy steed and someone in group cast flight of eagles on me I was flying ver quickly around pok like a lunatic till I got stuck in a wall. Beware of the flying dwarf on the holy steed gravity will drop me eventually but the droppings of my horse could drop you sooner.
