New Expansion just released!!!!!!Follow

If the new expansion is anything like GoD, I won't buy it. I have beeen playing EQ since the start up and WAS a member of a high end guild until recently when everyone quit playing (I'm still a member but don't play much either anymore). I know of other high end guilds that have quit because GoD was so poorly designed. It isn't just full of bugs but is also designed to be so limiting for player groups and raids that not many people are messing with it.

If they (Sony) were serious about customer support, then they would at least try to make the zones more playable.

Also, the raid loot was few and far between and pretty much sucked at least as far as KodTaz.

Yes, progress is an evil thing.

We should all band together, take our hammers, clubs and pitchforks and smash those infernal machines from hell!

And yes we should stop being malcontents and disrupters of this once perfect world of Norrath and, content ourselves with adventuring in Kaesora and Lower Guk night after night after night after night....

OK so who is going tio be in charge of the Guk camp sight rotation? I bags Friday mornings 3 AM PST for the next month right!?

Oh and yes! That infernal User Interface is evil too, get rid of it, who needs to see health % of group mates?

And that Skills list, who needs to see what skill levels they have - an evil evil thing.

And that compass! Straight out of hell that is, burn it burn it!

And that Options window, spawn of Satan!

Get rid of it, clearly a prereqisite for playing the game has to be at least the ability to edit an ini file, even better if it requires an intimate knowlege of DOS command line syntax!

Clearly the game designers have completely lost the plot.

Who wants new places to visit?

Who wants new adverseries to battle with?

Who wants new challenges to pit one's wits against?

Who wants a fair chance of finding a wothwhile raid target or unoccupied camp?

Nooo... we want to see the grass waving in the wind in the plains of Karana.

We want to go back to endless ***** sessions over Derv camp 1 and kill steal fights over old Lockjaw.

The sublime joy of being killed by endless trains of Spectres as we wait for the boat in Oasis.

And the stupidity that has become Tradeskills? Lost the plat completely they have!

Who wants to be able to bake food with beneficial stats? What an insult.

We want to get back to the good old days where we can strugle through 200 skill points to be able to make um.. a Tae Ew roll, yum lizard wrapped in batwings, that really is an experience to savour.

And Smithing? What an insult to the players of Everquest! Who in their right mind would want to be able to craft an AC 50 HP 40 plus stats Breastplate, when they could have settled for a marvelous Finesteel Breastplate with 19 AC?

Yes clearly the game has gone to hell in a handbasket.

We should all get together and have a good old fashioned "cd burning" in protest.

Who's got the matches?

Actually it is perfect division of labour. One team to put the bugs in and one team to take the bugs out.

Office parties are more likely:-

"Hey I put this great bug in tradeskilling you guys should get a good couple of weeks out of it"

The whole sorry history of EQ bugs is probaly no more than a job preservation conspiracy.
