Looking for a little input, as I've never really played on this server. I've been considering starting a serious character there for some time though.

One language skillup per hour: Tolerable? Seems like it would take a very long time before you could effectively hunt with other races, since communication would be non-existant. Does this effectively push people to level around their hometowns, or does everyone still run to Paludal Caverns?

One character limit: Is twinking kept to a minimum? Can I realistically expect that I won't see many Ry'Gorr chain items or Centi weapons before the 30's? I'd hate to start from scratch and see people blowing me away because of my crappy damage output. I intend to save for PSUs and leather armor, and wear that stuff until the 20's. =)

Any comments, suggestions or tips from the server's active players are greatly appreciated.

Uless they repatched something lately, the one language skillup thing is no longer in place.

I thought they got to make additional characters now, 3 slots I believe. I remember seeing a patch message along the lines that it wasn't fair that Firiona Vie players couldn't try Beastlords and such so they gave them extra character slots. That basically ended any interest I would have had in FV. I might try to make someone on Moorden Rasp or Stromm and do all the newbie armor quests and such without the temptation to twink "Just 50 plat for spells".

One character limit is still in place.

Language mastery (0-100) in under an hour usually.

Contrary to popular myth this makes it the most heavily twinked server. When people want a new character they put 100% into it. Not the bits you can spare off your main, not something you can afford to buy for your alt, Everything you own. Including usually sacrificing the old main down to 46 for a small fortune from the EEs.

Do not be surprised if the cleric in your CB group has a 100k drogmor.

A friend "re-rolled" as they call it a while back. A level 1 cleric with 250WIS and FT12 (this was before the FT nerf) is the sort of thing you will meet.

However the attitude is different. And frequently these "re-rolls" are rapidly working their way back to their high level raiding. There are still true newbies and people who would rather roleplay than level but both are probably on the endangered species list.

Doesn't even seem worthwhile to play if that's the case, seeing as how a hope that these people were the majority is why I wanted to try the server in the first place. Morden Rasp just doesn't cut it, since it's a sure thing that in 3-6 months there will be Time equipped players everywhere.
