Besides killing Xanamech Nezmirthafen, are there any other things that need to be done b4 gaining access to the Plane of Tactics? Do you need other flags first?

You don't need any other flags, just have to be able to enter the zone. There is also the alternate quest to get access to PoTactics.

you need to kill behemoth, NOT xanamech, to be able to go to potactics.

Aye. Xanamech is for factory flag. Behemoth is for PoTactics flag. So if you killed the dragon, you should be able to open the factory door now, but not get into PoTactics. Heh. Xana is a wimp compared to Behemoth btw...

Diaku emblem is the easiest way but mondo time consuming. Thos diaku's are rare spawns. Our guild raids em every so often and we r lucky to get 3 emblems in 5 hours.

You need to be aware that the Daiku quest will not allow you further progression. You can get into PoTactics, but not progress beyond that point. Just like being able to zone into PoV/PoS/CoD, then BoT/HoH due to level. You will need to go back and do a PoJ trial at some point, as well as get the keys for CoD, BoT, and HoH if you want to move on to Sol Ro, and Elemental planes.

That's probably not a concern for most folks though. Just being able to get to those zones will give you enough opportunity for advancement that it's probably better to just get there first, and then worry about backflagging.
