How do you do macros? i'm a bard and i think this would help with twisting songs.
By not asking questions like that here. We do not take kindly to cheaters. I hope I did not step on anyones toes by making a broad statement. Fear the wrath of me rateing youd own.
Ok, I've heard the word before and thought it refered to putting a series of commands on a hotkey.
For example:
/stand
/cast #3
/g Complete Heal for %t , please stay in range for 10 seconds.
/sit
If that is a macro, how is that cheating? If it's not a macro, what is?

With the current discusion on macroquest going on. and someone asking for a macro to twist songs I put two and two together. I could be wrong but go to macroquest once and look in the macro section ... some of the biggest posts are about bard twisting ..... If I jumped to the wrong conclusion I appologize but I think I am right on the money with this one.
What is the URL? I tried macroquest.com, but it din't go anywhere.

go to macro depot and look around and you will see ..... let me first state that I do not use macroquest. I use it for information for example..... awhile ago on mysupersales plat was dropping in price so I figured their had to be an exploit .... so I went to macroquest and I saw like 20 request for fishing macro .... I wonder why .... after researching I found that the god zone you could fish and make good plat from it .... again I do not use euther site but it is good info when you are trying to figure out what is going on

I do not want to cheat. i saw the thread about the program that hacks the EQ code and that is not what i'm looking for. i'm looking for macros that you enter in the emotes area of the UI. Is this cheating?
In the emote section ... No it is not cheating ... but I do not see how that will help you twist songs effectively..... Since you came back and stated you do not want to cheat ..... I will be a man and apologize for jumping the gun on you .... I just feel it is too often we see someone with a low post count ( I am low also ) and ask for ways to break the system... it just gets boring ... So again sorry for jumping the gun

as for song macro, the best one to use is very simple:
/stopsong
/cast #
that is it. nothing fancy about it. this will alow you to twist much faster then double tapping or mouse clicking every will. it is not a good idea to macro more then 1 song together for the simple reason once a macro starts you can not stop it. so if you get a missed note, you are just fubar until the end of the last song pulse.
fyi replace the # with the spell gem 1-8 with 1 being your top spell gem and 8 being your last.
