Decided to come back to the game that took over my RL the first time I played it.
I took the advice of lhuffman and created a WE Druid on Erollisi Marr.
The new UI gave me a headache but I think I am figuring out how to use it.
I must say that starting over from scratch is a major pain especially since I was used to the high end game when I left.
Unfortunately I don't have access to that account anymore nor do I know anyone on this server (used to play on the Rathe) but everyone I have met so far seems really nice.

Never played a Druid before so if anyone has any advice on playing this class, low level armour and weapons I should try to obtain, places to hunt etc etc I would appreciate it.

Thanks

I started a WE druid myself that I just dinged 14 last night with. I just perused my newbie ground until 5, went to blackburrow (outdoor zone so good for druids) until about 9 I think, then went to the dreaded Paludal Caverns until 12 or so and now I'm bouncing back and forth between PC and Unrest. Since I'm 14 now I'm going to go try and charm outdoors and see how that goes.

Good luck!

I would recommend doing the newb armor quests from the GM after you hit 5. Decent stuff to get until you hit the higher levels. Used mine up to about lvl 20 and still used some pieces till about 30. Had the full set after 2 days. Good luck!

I saw that quest listed and it looked like it gave pretty nice stuff for a newbie quest.
Most of the items didn't seem like they are too hard to get but there were a couple I had never heard of.

Thanks for the info.

I started completely over on Brell with a halfling druid. It was a real pain since my Half elf ranger on Venril Sathir had amassed 90kpp. Anyways, I didn't get rid of my last piece of newbie gear until I hit 46. At 54, my wisdom still isn't maxed, but I have some really nice gear, and am working on the Coldain Prayer Shawl Crawl. Your newbie gear will work, and with the availability of kei, I never really had a problem with my low wisdom. I currently have only about 3k in the bank, but I did just buy an improved damage 4 item, and I have no idea how much I've spent on those blasted trade skills. If you ever find yourself bored, run to Umbral and see if anyone will let you loot any extra elysian armor. Just be careful. There are undead that will break invis. GL!

EDIT:
What would you do for a FT3 item? Well, I decided I'd work all my tradeskills for one... my justification for doing the Shawl Crawl.

My newbie Druid gear stayed with me until I started replacing it with Elysian in my late 40's, what a jump in gear! My last piece of newbie to go was my legs, which I haven't had drop yet from the wonderful Elysians, but a fellow Druid guildie gave me hand-me-down Brown Chitin legs.
I was very sad at the final phase out of my newbie stuff.Smiley: cry
At 52 I am still occasionally trying for a set of legs from those Elysians. LoL

Not to sound like a complete idiot but what it kei?

I can tell I have not played this game in a very long time, last night I caught myself running back to the guards after my HP's got low so that I would not die. They did not have the low level get out of death free cards when I played like they do now.

Can someone explain the shared bank thing and also the link all thing when I loot a corpse?

KEI is a lvl. 60 Enchanter buff that can get cast on you once you reach 45. It gives you an extra 15 mana per tic, 350 to your mana pool, and +25 wis/int. Lasts 3+ hours. The shared bank consists of two bank slots that all your chracters on that server have acsess too, mainly used for twinking. The "Link All" button when you loot your corpse appears when you loot any corpse, it's used for raids to tell everyone what dropped. When you hit it "item_001, item_002" appears in your text bar.

Sorry Tunare, not trying to be picky but actualy it's 14 per tick and +250 to the mana pool, also unextended it's 2.5 hours.
Most importantly it can't be cast on you until you're level 45 or higher.

edit - D'oh! I repeated that it's 45 plus and tunare already said that :/
