I am an officer in Winds of Faith guild on Ayonae Ro. We have had some rough times over the past year or so but now it seems that stable leadership is back in place. Now we are looking at raid possibilities. We don't have a large guild, and have very few members over level 60. Most are between 40 and 60. The last couple of weeks there has been talk in officer chat about starting up raids. I for one have never lead a raid and have only taken part in maybe 10 total since I started playing EQ last year.

I am looking for information, websites, or suggestions for possible raids that our guild could do in the 40-60 level range with total members participating being less than 25. I would appreciate any information all you seasoned veterans could provide.

Thanks guys,

Slydogma - Outrider of Karana

Kael Arena would be a good starting point to learn raiding at those levels.

I agree with Patrician, stick to Kael while you guys learn the basics of raiding.

Kael is always a safe bet, good place to learn, CRs aren't THAT hard to do, plus you get the faction needed for future romps through ToV.

Hate is another option at this level, just be sure to be kind to the single groups that are there (going into the higher tiers may be the best idea). Other options will include: Grieg's End (and try for Servitor if he's up, good easy boss mob type fight, very few see invis mobs, easy CR), Cazic Thule will be decent (most stuff doesn't see invis either, again making CRs fairly easy), Akheva Ruins may be decent, especially if you can catch The Va`Dyn up (he's a fun fight, but has roughly 100k hps, not difficult though), Veksar is decent, SolC is always empty and has some decent drops (CR is a ***** though, and may be better for only your 50+). I'm sure there is a ton of others that I'm missing and someone else will list a few later.

Also, check out this post for a few ideas/suggestions for the raid leaders to take into account during the raids.

Go have fun with all your friends while learning the ropes, you'll be glad you did when the time comes for bigger and better things :)
