I have an High Elf Chanter (great starting stats plus can see in dark fairly well) about to hit lv 54 (tonite if I get to play). Chanters don't have as good pets as other casters, but are super popular with groups due to their ability to control extra monsters that arrive during battle (mez) and to increase attack speed and mana (used for spells) of others.

I started out with a dwarf paladin, which is a great way to learn to play as well. Good news is that you have a lot of choices and can have up to 8 differenet characters at once.

Actually enchanters have far and away the strongest pets in the game. At 57, when I use a pet it's routinely outdamaging my brother's 65 necro pet, and has a TON more HP.

The drawback to enchanter pets is there's always the chance of charm breaking and your "pet" deciding to turn around and take a chomp out of your hide. Smiley: grin

And yes, I know you were talking about our summon illusion line. But why use that when charm gives you a MUCH stronger pet to play with? Smiley: wink2

yeah.

my first char was a half elf pally, currently have him at 44, and how about agility and dex?

and anyway no class/race combo is better then another, theyre all perfectly balanced by the good people at SOE ROFL Smiley: lol
