My bard, I often run back to PoK. Easy to grab buffs before heading out for the evening next time I log in. Back when I was farming Nadox, I usually camped out in Gunthak after selling and banking.

My rogue is camped in Butcherblock at the Wayfarer camp. Since I've mainly been doing LDoNs, there's no reason to keep hiking back and forth from PoK. Now and then I stop off in Kelethin to bank. Once I hit 46, I'll hit up PoK to train and stuff.

My mage is camped in Jaggedpine Forest waiting on the potameid queen to drop the Defender of the River already instead of gimp cloaks, crowns and nullify magic wands. I'd settle for the +7 INT leggings.

My Shadowknight is camped in Shadowrest, waiting on her lost corpse to become summonable after it sank through the floor of Padual. Yay, collision system! Smiley: grin

I try to camp myself out in the PoK for ease of travel, or in Butcherblock, simply because that's where I adventure the most of late. I am not superstitious about it though, and sometimes I just camp where I am. Under the stars, so to speak.

I have been camping in Kelethin near the guards or in the town itself since I still have work to do there. I imagine that when I get done there and achieve higher levels, I'll venture into the PoK for camp.

I do find that, if I'm camping out in a city area, I usually find a quiet room to camp in or else camp at the gates. Even in PoK, I often move into a quiet corner to camp out.

I wonder how many people, even subconsciously, camp out on a bed if one is readily available?

HA! I used to do that.. but then I started thinking, it can't really be safe sharing a bed with who knows how many toons... and we all know that means I'm sharing the bed with everyone that they've ever shared a bed with... foul.

Speaking as a Wizardess: I am bound right in front of my Tribute Master... but I like to camp at the Othmir bonfire on the Beach in Cobalt Scar. There's nothing like waking up to that music!

I used to bind my characters in the nexus as it is normally fairly empty and lag free (only a transient population in normal times) and it is where raids were formed.

Now I bind my characters in PoT for the same reasons as we recently moved the meeting point for raids to PoT Smiley: smile

Although all other zones are fine I have a PoK lag issue so I have never bound there. The main issue for me is portability. From PoT or the Nexus, PoK is one zone away ergo all of Norrath. Why bind at a home city when you can have the world at your feet Smiley: smile

I knew an old guildy who used to bind in EF at the soulbinder. He fell asleep while on-line once and although high level, all those orcs in EF can peck away at your for 10, 20hps a time ..... he woke up to 20 or so corpses Smiley: yikes

PoK is the pits.

I camp out under the stars when ever possible. If we have found some where interesting and want to look around a bit more we will just find a quiet spot and set up camp. Celeni is currently camped in the Plane of Growth. Iluien is in Maiden's Eye.

Aesten usually ends up camping either in North Ro or Buthcherblock Mountains although he is currently camped in front of his Tribute Mistress.

Babastina has taken to living on the the Queen of Thorns in the Abysmal Sea. Aeleni currently camps out in Steamfont, but makes regular trips back to visit Babastina.

Grobbson serves as a spy lurking around Kael.
Gahj lives in the bank in the bazaar.
Beleni also lives in the bazaar.
Merrikitny lives in the bank in AK'Kannon.
The Monk, who's name I have forgotten lol, is camped in the East Commons.

Hmm, I'd forgotten about the monk, time to move him to a bank some where and buy him a few toolboxes Smiley: smile

PoK is my normal parking space. I know this is a big parking lot for a lot of people.

It is the center of the EQ universe in the sense that you can get to where ever from there.

I have considered binding in PoT, but I find I always have to come back to PoK to go someplace else.

When I am doing LDoN's, I again, usually have to go to the bank, and many times PoK is the closest and fewest zones away.

My ranger is perma-parked in PoK; I hardly play him anymore.
Cleric is usually in PoK, sometimes PoTranq, sometimes I keep him in Ssra for guild camp/raids.
The necro, again usually PoK at evil bank, though as my most active char I sometimes park him in GFay, between LFay and the Felwithe book (for BB adventures), or wherever I'm currently hunting.
