Has anyone heard any updates on when other abilities like BackSwing and Shinkick and Flurry are going to be available for melee classes?

Combat Abilities Part IIFollow
For lack of better knowledge about those skills in particular, I will say this...
The Combat Upgrade part2 that included the Combat openings was canned and will not be going live. They decided against this method of playing as it turned melee into a "twitch" reaction type of playing, rather than the strategy (albeit, limited at times) it uses now. (As least, SoE said something to this effect regarding it. Don't have the exact quotes right now.)
Also, take a gander at the issues they had implementing Dx9 :) Would you really trust SoE to completely revamp the melee system right now? ;)
